The New Orleans Saints offense is a mystery that no one can seem to figure out, but that's not in a good way. Rather, they have plenty of talent, but there's room uch inconsistency in their success to put up points. Why is that?

One major oddity in their offense is their lack of play action and motion usage. The Saints are last in play action percentage and 31st in percentage of plays in motion before/at snap.

Explains why I can call out pass or run pretty consistently. NFL defenses have an easy time defending us.

Yep. Something else I have observed is our OL stances pre-snap. Those too have become tells as to whether it is a run or a pass.

Hand on the ground = nearly automatic run…and since we don’t use playaction, defenses just tee off on us and we are constantly running into brick walls.

It’s like the most elementary thing ever.

It's like freaking groundhog day after every game. So exhausting. We have high school teams with better game planning and playcalling than this crew.

The screams to add motion will get so loud they can't ignore them, then for a week or 2 the Saints will have a good offensive output. But then, they say, you know what? Let's try doing what was not working on offense again.

This year, Carr has the 4th worst QB rating in the league when running play action and has the 11th best when he doesn’t run play action. Are we sure we want him to run it even more?

Pete needs to stop with the substations on every play also. Payton was great at mismatches and getting the right personnel on the field. Pete to me doesnt have the in game flow….wherewithal to consistently keep swapping players so often. I feel like it really bogs down the rhythm, like we ever have one, that the offense may be getting into. It stood out a lot to me against the Vikings.

I think this is where play calling comes in at. Can you get both Winston and Carr's rating in play action from 2021?

One thing I like about Shanahan is that he uses plays from other teams. He probably has someone look at film from the Dolphins and Lions, then they incorporate that into their upcoming game plan. I think I’ve seen us do that twice this year. We should be doing that more often.

Alright, I'll fall on the sword...is there anything he's Top 10 at?
