I think this is where play calling comes in at. Can you get both Winston and Carr's rating in play action from 2021?

That’s just going to make Carr look like he is free falling from his peak.

This year, Carr has the 4th worst QB rating in the league when running play action and has the 11th best when he doesn’t run play action. Are we sure we want him to run it even more?

Carr is horrible at the PA fake. I heard years ago it was because he can’t turn his back to the defense even if for just a split second. He won’t do it. Not sure how the Raiders new QB will pan out but his play fakes are light years better than Carr ever was and the Raiders are calling those much more often.

Explains why I can call out pass or run pretty consistently. NFL defenses have an easy time defending us.

That's so misleading. An average fan can do that based on down and distance with more than a 60-70% chance of getting it right

And if you go back a few seasons, I think you'll find a level of consistency with their rates. I think that Carr really just had issues picking up McDaniels playbook.

I was thinking the same thing, It might be a Carr thing not a PC thing. Didn’t the Raiders offense have a lot of motion under MM? (The offense Dc allegodly struggled) ?

Its also our personnel groupings. There's just no deception to our offense. That's why so many folks are just running cover 2 and keeping everything in front of them. Nothing to bite on.

Yep. Just as it feels as though he’s finally got things figured out - using heavy motions, playaction, heavy Taysom usage, feeding Shaheed, the Bink package, etc., he completely abandons it.

This manifested itself in the very first game of the DA/PC era. Stagnant offense to start the game, Taysom comes in and pretty much wills our team to a touchdown drive to get things rolling, then after that we never see him again.

Later in the year, it became Shaheed. Big spark off of a jet sweep or long pass, then disappears and doesn’t get another touch.

I don’t understand PC’s style. It’s like “Oh excellent, this worked! Great, now it’s time to get rid of that and show them I can make something else work too!”
