Artists it's okay to hate (2 Viewers)

Elvis, Rolling Stones, Termanology, Crooked I, The Smiths, Elton John, Bob Dylan.

Wait, this is the artists I dislike and/or artists I mention just to piss off people thread right?

:jpshakehead:

I'm right with you on Bob Dylan. What an overrated, old sack he is. Along with him, I despise other overrated folk artists. The only musician from the 60's who lived up to the hype was Jimmie Hendrix:0056:

They aren't artists, but I would like to nominate the Grammys for some musical hate.

I hate regurgitated music that has been done over and over again(like most deathcore)...why can't people make something new?!?!?!!?!?..... and pretty much everything on the radio
its people like you that made bands like gorguts suck and fade away

Sorry if my list angers anyone, but it's my list, and the following are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
REM - Amazing they are in the RNR HOF considering some that aren't
The Doors - Just don't get it
Pearl Jam - Music not bad but the singer is horrible
Duran Duran - So gay sounding

Artist is a word thrown around too much lately to the point that it's dissolving its true meaning. It's becoming trivial and unfortunately, American Idol is furthering that dissolution. Eric Clapton is a musical artist. He writes/composes and plays his own music on instruments. T-Pain samples sounds.

With that said, hate is a strong word. Musical celebrities I could do without:

Flo-Rida
Britney Spears
Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and the like - I just don't get it. They sound like an angry Cookie Monster
Fall Out Boy
Ashlee Simpson
Kanye West
Haha! I totally agree about Cannibal Corpse. I just don't get them at all and I like metal.
