riddle me this, if we signed Bekton and drafted Jeanty, what kind of return could we get from a Kamara trade?

Amazing player. Just got done watching more footage. Reminds me of a combo of Alvin Kamara and Pierre Thomas but with breakaway speed. Tree trunk legs, amazing balance and center of gravity. Guys just slide right off of him. And even though he's going against the Utah St.'s of the world, Utah St. isn't signing CBs that run in the 4.7s; those CBs even at that level are fast, and Jeanty just separates from them all with ease.

Irresponsible me would even be considering dangling our extra 3rd this year to move up two spots for him.

Devote cap resources and remaining draft capital to surrounding him this year and next. Sign a priority free agent OL this year and next. Find a mobile QB.

It doesn't have to be done in any particular order. The assignment over the next two off-seasons is the same no matter which way you slice it optically - get playmakers and players for the trenches, or get players for the trenches and playmakers.
Yeah going into last year, I really like him after watching his 2023 season. I thought he looked a lot like Kamara then as he was used a ton in the passing game in 2023 and even compared him to Kamara. Was really hoping we could eventually grab him as a day 2 pick at that time. Then he developed even further in 2024 and drastically improved from an already high level of play to the elite prospect he is today. Would love to see him in a Saints uniform, but also would be happy with guys like Tetairoa or Warren as well.

If you had to pick one at #9. Regardless if we upgrade the oline or not with one other picks. Who’s your choice if you’re Kellen Moore?
This team isn’t going to be good for 3-4 years. By that point the RB will be 25 with a lot of miles.

RBs should be the last piece you add to a rebuilding team not the first.

No reason for this team taking 3-4 years to be good. A good coaching staff can turn it around in their first or second year.

We see that occur all the time. They said the Broncos were many years away when Payton took over. They said the Chiefs were many years away when Reid took over. Right now, they're saying the Patriots are years away, but Vrabel will have them not drafting top 10, likely not even top 15.

Mean while every year they say the Cowboys are super bowl bound.

We'll be competing for the divisional title if Moore and his coaching staff are as good as everyone hopes.

They drafted Hockenson the TE at #8 overall in 2018. Since 2017 they've drafted 2 offensive linemen and one defensive lineman in the first round. They've drafted a good mix of everything. Again BPA...
And how did Hockenson work out for them?

They have an S tier OLine so they can afford to draft as they want.

Again i'm fine with drafting whoever that's BPA. I don't have an OL worth a top 10 pick and none of the DL that I do will be there. But if you're building a team to win you need to dominate the LOS.
