I think BPA is Jeanty so I voted him. But I haven't exactly studied film and graded each player. Just looking at draft boards and getting a general idea of the players.

TE is a bigger need though. We don't have anyone at the position unless Moreau makes a quick recovery. Even then you need at least 2. So if the grades were pretty much equal I'd go Warren.

I've just seen Jeanty pretty consistently graded above Warren, so I'd choose him between the two.

I think both positions are questionable at 9 btw. Not that they can't be worth it, but typically they aren't. Makes the roll of the dice riskier imo.

Is no one concerned about Jeanty's performance against PSU?

For all the crying on this forum about taking small school players high, I would think that might raise a red flag.

Maybe it's just because I like Warren better. He'd make our O dynamic from day one.
Not at all. They completely sold out to stop him with their NFL talent loaded D-line against a bunch of guys that won't play in the NFL. He still didn't go down on first contact and put up over 100 on them. It actually makes Jeanty look better.

I think Mayock swayed me on Jeanty if there was a choice. As others have said, the question is whether there's someone similar in the later rounds.
It starts with Jeanty:

Man I didn’t realize until now that I missed hearing from Mike Mayock. He sort of disappeared after his failed GM stint with the Raiders.

Hope he gets back into the broadcasting business. He really offers great insight.

Some may say he lost credibility, but I think the guy just had a string of bad luck at the exact wrong moment and was with one of the most dysfunctional organizations in pro sports, ownership wise.

He’s great to listen to on this stuff.

No, because football is a team sport. Jeanty can only do so much on his own.

He had future accountants and insurance salesmen in front of him trying to block future NFL defensive linemen, with Ohio St.’s defensive game plan clearly keyed in on stopping him, and still rushed for over 100 yards.

I was going to add if an NFL defense played the way Penn State did against him it'd leave Olave and Shaheed open deep all game long.

He also tore it up against Oregon so it's not like he only produced against small schools.

I like Warren but I think I like the idea of Jeanty/Taylor more than Warren/any other RB.

Exactly. Nobody is discounting Warren's talent, it's the talent/skillset of Jeanty so far above the other RBs.

Exactly. Penn State knew Jeanty was the one guy who could hurt them and they decided to take him out of the equation. I haven't seen a team totally commit to stop a RB like this in a long time. This isn't like the old days like when Green Bay sold out to stop Barry Sanders and held him to -1 in the '94 playoffs. There is so much space on the field in the modern game and if you load up the box to stop a RB you leave yourself so vulnerable in the passing game. PSU had the talent to go man across the board and focus on the ground game. They were more than happy to take their chances with Boise State beating them through the air.

So despite having one of the best defenses in the country 100% focused on stopping him, Jeanty was still able to go over 100 yards. It took him 30 carries but still. If you give me the choice of Jeanty or Tyler Warren I'm going with Jeanty and it isn't even close. Tyler Warren is a great TE prospect and of course TE is a big need but I wouldn't go for need over a talent like Ashton Jeanty.

Without a real franchise QB I don't know how much Tyler Warren helps. Jeanty on the other hand can help move the ball and score points regardless of who is under Center. Just look at what the falcons have been able to do with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. AK and Jeanty would be fun to watch.

Ashton agrees.

It starts with Jeanty:

Before the Ashton stuff his QB comments are interesting. Talking about having an infrastructure in place to setup a rookie QB for success. We certainly don't have that right now. Poor Rattler was just thrown to the wolves.

Moore ran no huddle on 25% of his offensive snaps last year. An every down RB that can do it all helps immensely with that. A 2 headed monster would help keep defenses in base defense but then flexing Kamara into the slot would create a mismatch. Really there is so much you can do on offense with them.

We can't plug all of our holes in one year, so we should start accumulating talent. Our quarterback of the future is not on the roster, but we can at least start building to set that person up to succeed when we get him. I cut out Moyock's comments on the quarterbacks because I assume we're not taking one. Although, I kind of like the idea of taking the kid from Bama and letting him sit. If not, wait until next year. we don't have to plug all our holes in one year.

Please 🙏🏾 do not let them resign Juwan Johnson. He can’t block worth a damn and he couldn’t catch a cold butt naked in the winter time. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Right I’m tired of the potential of these players time to bring in legit playmakers

Grab jeanty first then take a flyer on Milroe we need players who can score 50+ yards plays
