I get why you did but it's applicable to us because we're a year or so away from drafting one. Like you said we need to start accumulating talent. That way when we draft one we have the right infrastructure in place for them to be successful.We can't plug all of our holes in one year, so we should start accumulating talent. Our quarterback of the future is not on the roster, but we can at least start building to set that person up to succeed when we get him. I cut out Moyock's comments on the quarterbacks because I assume we're not taking one. Although, I kind of like the idea of taking the kid from Bama and letting him sit. If not, wait until next year. we don't have to plug all our holes in one year.
If you drafted Dart at 9 you'd be setting him up to fail. No consistent run game to support him and no contested catch WR/TE to bail him out on 3rd downs and the red zone. Get those in place and maybe the next guy has a chance.
