The title says it all, it appears to be something more than just speculation as it was fairly credible reporters discussing it. But definitely not a "done deal" either. The upside would be the Falcons would be weaker, on offense AND defense, in the short term. The downside is that they would be more likely to pick a DT.

Something in my head says that if Quinn goes to Atlanta, he will be a star. He has not done anything yet but he has that aura about him that says he will be a good player at some point. It does kind of remind me of a younger Drew Brees in San Deigo, but I think Brees had a great RB in LT to hand too rather do it in on his own

The Browns don't have any picks in the first 3 rounds, so this would be a way to grab Hall.

Ughhhhh.....there goes Dorsey. :(

i think quinn is gonna be a bust personally. i hope they make that deal.

Quinn compared to a young Drew Brees? Brees is a highly accurate passer and that was one of Quinn's biggest knocks coming out of ND.

I think Quinn will turn out better than Ryan. I would rather this not happen.

He'll have a hard time developing behind an O-line built for Vick.

They will need to get some people to protect him. There O-line does suck

Sounds good to me... Quinn being draped by McCray, Smith, Grant all day and multiple picks for Harper, Gay, McKenzie... oh yeah... Vilma and Fujita and Grant leveling Michael Turner in the backfield... bring it on!!!!

Fly, Brees for all intense purposes was not a great player until 2004. that is when he began to show everybody what he do. It may have taken an insult on the part of eli refusing to come to the Chargers but something clicked with #9 that year and he has not stopped since. for his first 3 seasons, Brees looked like crap but he really began to be the All-Pro QB we now have in him. It is a what if question? What if he had not been that star he finally showed up to be? in San Deigo he was a good player but his skills were not harnessed the right way by Marty Ball. Sean Payton brought a new dimension to him.
In other words, he made him better. Made him more creative and really took up his game. Quinn could learn the same way Brees did if the right guy teaches him in Atlanta.

I don't believe the Browns would do this. Trading a guy who signed a long contract just last year would definitely incur some major cap penalty. On top of that, they only signed Derek Anderson to a 3 year deal, which I took to mean, they are going to let him play maybe 2 more years then trade him before he ends his final year. Quinn has probable 5 more years left on his contract and will come in in two years after trading anderson.

I wouldn't be surprised if the falcons inquired about Brady, but I think it ended there, however the rumor of it continues.

This makes a lot of sense because the Browns gave away a quality starting CB (Boden) when they traded for Rogers and they were already weak at CB.
