It's so good to see this young man developing and coming into his own. The coaching staff has done a great job with him. So many fans gave up on him because he wasn't awesome as a rookie. People want instant gratification with everything in this modern world and football is no exception. If a rookie doesn't come in and look great then he's a bust and he needs to be traded asap.
I'm old enough to remember the days when it was common for rookies to struggle. Sometimes it would take two or three years before they were ready to start. Some 5 star recruits aren't ready to start until their Jr year. Some 1st round picks aren't ready to start until year three. In fantasy people would keep an eye on WRs going into their third season. Year three was the breakout year for a lot of them.
What changed? Why are people so eager to label young players busts? It seemed like people were actively rooting for Ruiz to fail because the Saints didn't draft their draft crush. They had Ruiz going in the late 2nd in their mock draft v8.0.
Just one slight, respectful correction:"He's got his man down to the ground eating grass".
"Watch the violent hands of Ruiz, BAM!".
Love Baldy's quotes
As long as I don't have see that finger.I've always liked baldy. Wish he had played for us.
That play was very impressive. One Carr didn’t force it to CGM. He didn’t throw it up and expect Thomas to fight it out for the ball. Two he waited for the play to develop. He knew Kirkwood would be breaking behind Thomas. Instead of panicking that Thomas was covered he waited for Kirkwood to get open then made a great throw. He made it look easy.Thanks.
Nice to see that Carr's first read was taken away in the end zone, and he progressed to the next receiving option for a score.
Good stuff on the "first ever drive".
Carr doesn't get happy feet, he just glides. Winston gets nervous and will force it in a heartbeat. Myself, I'd roll the dice with Haener and trade Winston. That play was very impressive. All teamsDoes Baldy do these for all teams, several teams, or does he have some kind of connection to the saints?

I think it's going to be a huge difference because Carr is built to run the WCO. Dalton can certainly run it but nowhere near the same level as Carr. The difference in QB play this year is not going to be as great this year as everyone expects. Not because Carr isn't a better QB but because Dalton is a better QB than he's given credit for. Dalton was exactly what we needed at the time. Hard to look good when you're working a practice squad O Line and WRs. We're just lucky Olave and Rashid showed up.
