It won't be him, but many posters on here are trying to protect themselves from getting their hopes up and getting hurt.

I selected Curry in the poll, not because that's who I necessarily want to get the job, but because it just seems like the Saints way these days. They're just moving very slowly, which makes me think they have their guy in-house or it's someone who isn't in demand like Sullivan from the Steelers. I would have been much more supportive of Curry had the Saints been willing to give him playcalling duties during the season as a trial, but that doesn't appear to be the case. This current Saints management team is a head-scratcher for sure.

Not sure who it’ll be but I am sure it’ll be a consolation pick because the first, second and likley even the third higest quality OCs considered will no longer be available by the time our long, drawn out and plodding selection process concludes.

I think they hire Timothy McVeigh (convincing themselves he has some distant connection to the McVay tree) to be the OC, and he runs the offense remotely from his cell.

How many OCs have been hired that the Saints are interested in? Two. One was an internal promotion and not unexpected, and the other was to the Bears who have the #1 pick, not unexpected either. Nobody else is moving any faster, at least with OC hires. And that kinda makes sense. If you're interviewing for an OC position, wouldn't you want to know how the new HC positions shake out before you decide anything? It's going to be a while longer and not because the Saints are dragging their feet.
