Battlestar Galactica Discussions (MERGED)

When Ellen said "Daniel was an artist" a light went on in my brain. We all know Starbuck died and somehow came back (resurrected like a cylon). Anyone remember Starbuck and all of her artwork in the apartment? Anyone think there may be a link between Daniel and Starbuck?

I may be fishing but at this point anything is possible on this show.

The thought occurred to me the other day as well.. but I decided the whole Daniel/artist thing wouldn't explain her being the "best shot in the fleet" etc.. But yeah, I did think about her paintings etc..

Well Cavil does seem to like corrupting and torturing Elen's favorites... Making Starbuck a man(daniel) in a womans body with an artistic soul but inplanted memories of a strict, abusive, military upbringing would create a tortured/conflicted soul indeed.

Nah, I'm still holding out for Starbuck being the goddess Aurora...or an angel...basically, an agent of the one true god who keeps putting all these premonitions and visions in everybody's heads.

She's from the faction we haven't heard from yet. The faction that gave all the fore-knowledge to the hybrid that Kara talked to in Razor. The one who talked to Laura between jumps back to Galactica and told her someone would be waiting for her and she arrived to find Adama floating around by himself in a Raptor. The one who looked like Leoben, took Kara through the flashbacks of her mother's death, then said he wasn't Leoben.

Notice, Cavil didn't correct Ellen when she said Deanna's visions of the Final Five were put there by the one true god, not her.

The one speaking in Baltar's head? Perhaps a race of "super" beings that paraded as gods on Kobol but now serve the one true god?

Go back to Laura studying the Pythia prophecies.

Twelve lords of Kobol
Five pillars
Five priests of the temple
He who shall not be named

We know that the "gods and goddesses" of Kobol were real. The star map to earth was found in Athena's tomb, pointed out by the Arrow of Apollo.

Kara falls in that pantheon somewhere, I think.

And she is still the harbinger of death.

Bleu, you know how I would end this if I were writing it?

In the very end, the Centurions would impose peace and take all of the main characters to see the One True God.

They’d arrive at a point in space to find a huge, part-machine, part-organic being.

As the shuttle moved to the docking port, they’d see a word on the hull, partially obscured by organic and mechanical over growths.

GALACTICA

Black screen: “This has all happened before and it will happen again.”

The End

Ok, I thought that Starbuck was the "harbinger of death" not because of the hub, but because she started the war on Earth in the first place (finding her body). It set the whole thing in motion. But that would entail some serious Star Trek time travel/splitting of matter tech.

Yeah, the war on Earth was 2,000 years ago. The corpse she found still had hair on it. :)

But, seriously, I do think we're going to find that she's older than the Final Five.
