Beating the Falcons proved what many thought (1 Viewer)

Killer instinct, in sports its referred to as a will to win. DA didn't have it so the team didn't. We get a lead and he takes his foot off relaxes on an opponent let them back in games kill our momentum.
In Sunday’s game with no Dennis Allen on the team available to blame, the offense possessed the ball four times while holding a 3-point lead in the second half. On those four drives, they gained 5, 9, 2, and 6 yards. Whose fault is that?

Don't get this twisted. The falcons, falconed. Raheem Morris is just a younger Dennis Allen in the end.

Well , defense and special teams helped keep Falcons at bay, who is responsible for that ?

Who is responsible for getting the right personnel, like Scantily , into position to score 2 TDs?

Maybe not having Dennis Allen, help take the handcuffs off the defense and let offensive coordinator call those two scoring plays???

Maybe not having Dennis Allen in there helped give extra motivation to the players?

There always plenty of blame to go around when you beat your arch rival who was 6-3 to break a 7 game losing streak......

What an absolute clown post.....

That despite all the injuries, this should of been a team contending for the playoffs. With Rizzi as coach this team would be looking at a 6-4 record possibly a 7-3.

D.A really was this teams greatest opponent.
How is this any different than DA starting out 2-0 blowing out opponents....

WAY TOO EARLY to tell with a league that is based on game planning from film study. If the league had 9 games of tape, its hard to say the result would be the same as 0 games of tape.

Yeah I am pumping the breaks its ONE game. Last year after the Raiders fired there HC they beat the Gaints 30-6 with interim HC Antonio Pierce. They went 5-4 the rest of the season and he was hired. They are 2-7 this season. The Raiders just had a team meeting and there are reports of locker room dysfunction.

Happy for the win, Happy for Rizz, and Happy for the players. I am ready for this team to move forward and away from the Payton era. I want a real fresh start and I want us to focus getting the cap under control and drafting young players so maybe in a few years we land a franchise QB again.

Yeah I do want to preface all of what I said with, this is still not a good team, and it wont be a good team for in all likelihod another season and a half while we reset the destruction the Mick has done the past 5 years. There's a massive, massive amount of work that needs to be done to the roster, salary cap and front office. My whole point was, he found a way to win against the division leader despite being on the wrong side of just about every stat whereas just last week, Allen was on the right side of just about every stat, against the worst team in the NFL - and still found a way to lose.

Again, its just the difference from 1 week to the next that lays bare how absolutely ridiculous the Allen hire was, and the joke that it was allowed to go on for 2.5 years. I truly think we would've won the south last year with anyone else under the headset. Allen was just that bad.

Consider the source. Still defending the 2nd worst HC in the FA era. All you can do is laugh at this point.

How much coaching is it that you think you have to do when you are blowing out opponents? Those 2 games were a mirage and everyone knew that wasn't going to last. You find out about a coach when games are tight against good opponents. Im certainly not crowning Rizzi as the next HC. But Allen would've lost yesterday. No doubt about it. I don't know if Rizzi is a permanent HC type guy. But I do know we saw just how bad the last guy was in 1 game.

Scantily? You mis-referencing the Big Bopper and his lace, or are you referencing someone clad in revealing, minimalist clothing?

Yup, zero leadership skills and it showed, early......I agree, he was just that bad and I seriously doubt he will ever get a sniff at another HC job in the NFL.....

Carr has a huge issue with calling audibles when the defense shows presnap pressure. There is far too many times where he sees it and runs the play. He rolls away and just throws the ball away. He needs to start making teams pay for blitzing him.
yea i know the plays you're talking about, it was frustrating that whenever they needed a stop they just blitzed Carr and Carr would roll and throw it away. I was thinking why aren't we forcing Cousins to do the same. You have to give credit to RM's D. He had his players dialed in pre-snap every play, and Carr seemed to make the right calls for the most part.

There is no way another team is going to hire him as head coach, that would be the most negative fan base reaction that's ever occurred.

On Sunday it was Joe Woods, whose second-half defense saved the offense from itself multiple times. But we’ve seen this before, regardless who the head coach is

Who is responsible for getting the right personnel, like Scantily , into position to score 2 TDs?
Klint Kubiak, who then coached the second half of the game like the football had venomous snakes in it

Maybe not having Dennis Allen, help take the handcuffs off the defense and let offensive coordinator call those two scoring plays???
Neither part of this makes any sense

Maybe not having Dennis Allen in there helped give extra motivation to the players?

How does that not make sense?

Allen could have said don't call these plays. Or could have said let's play more conservative. Regardless they seem to play looser out there
