Before you even suggest Nussmeier to the Saints, LSU fans… (8 Viewers)

Also the home to Jamarcus Russell and Matt Mauck.
Yes, LSU is a high producing school, but you can’t blindly draft just because they’re the state school.

Didn't say they should, but it also doesn't mean that a player should be eliminated because they went to LSU. Russell and Mauck were a very, very long time ago and many NFL stars ago.

And people still won't get over the Saints not drafting Tajae Spears and Michael Pratt. Fans of teams are going to fall in love with good players that played for their teams.

Well, those LSU boys turn out to be pretty good more often than not. Plus, guys tend to perform better when their families are in the stands, in their hometown. Why the heck not?!?!
Because the pro team isn’t obligated to draft LSU players just because?
If they fit a need within the Saints? Yeah. Go for it!
But to draft LSU just because LSU is nearby? No.

Nuss, Allar, and Kubinak could all boost their draft stock by staying and developing another year.

LSU brought in some good WR’s in the portal (Nic Anderson & Barion Brown) to go along with Hilton, Anderson, Thomas, and Green. If the 2 new OT’s play well, LSU’s offense could be high scoring.

I thought these type of threads were reserved for the offseason.

He was already projected as a late 1st/early 2nd if he had come out this yr, so, not much work to do to be a 1st.

He may have been projected there at the start of the year, but after the year he had, there is no way Nuss was going that high this year. If he was, he would have come out for the draft. He was down right terrible in a few games this year. That's not going to get you taken in the first or second.

He was maybe going to be a 4th or 5th round pick. He has some talent, but he needs to work on his accuracy, ball placement, and pocket awareness. He also has a tendency to hold onto the ball too long and tries to play too much hero ball.

He could develop into a high first guy because he has that kind of talent. But he need a lot of work.
