Best gaming system for kids: PS3, wii, or xbox? (1 Viewer)

What gaming system has more games for young kids (3yrs-5yrs), playstation, wii, or xbox? I need to get my kids something and know absolutely nothing about what is out there. Thanks.

I would say wii. it has all the mario games witch are target towards kids. The other 2 systems have more mature content on them. They do have a couple of games but not as near as much as the wii.

I don't have a wii, but for kids that age I'd say it's the best. I have a 4 year old daughter and I've had both an XBox and PS3. She can't really do much with either one. I have a Spyro game and some racing games that she plays with sometimes, but all of the buttons are just too difficult for hear to reach. I'd say between the easier controls and more kid friendly content, the wii is the way to go.

i got to play the wii over the weekend and it would be the system i would buy for my son.....it's very kid friendly

Wii is definately more kid friendly, that would be my recomendation.

My 4 year old loves playing the Wii. He is really good at Mario Party and loves playing Lego Star Wars (although I have to help him with Star Wars).

The Wii was designed for kids and parties, you can't get much more specific than that. Just make sure they use the straps

that's only if you allow that to happen.....it's called being a parent......

kids should be able to have fun every now and then....

nobody is saying "let them play for hours and hours"

I think they are finding video games are pretty good for kids now, but we dont intend to let them overdo it. Im more concerned about myself in that area. If I get on that Star Wars Lego game, it could be all over for me.

Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 in that order. The Wii has by far the most "kid" games then the 360 and the PS3 has virtually none. A guy I sold a PS3 to had to buy all PS2 games for his young kids. He wanted a Blu-ray player so that was why he was set on getting the PS3.
