N/S Bills Fan Pushes Recently Cancer-Free Child Down Stairs (2 Viewers)

The child's medical backstory only adds to this story's anger level, granted.

But, just speaking for myself here....my son is but four years old and I don't plan on taking him to a professional football game until he's at least a teenager or if some over-arching reason pops up that makes it super-important to attend one. I simply don't trust the behavior of fans in the 21st century -- whether they're certifiably drunk or just plain ignorant!

Also, just speaking for myself here once again, but there's also no way in holy heck I'm going in another team's stadium with Saints gear on. I'll brave modern-day fan behavior in my own team's stadium. If I'm ever in another city with time to kill, I'm watching the game from private and friendly confines!

Ha, went to Rich Stadium when we played them when we still had Reggie. We kicked their butts so bad that day. We were in one of the first rows and grown men threw their food and drinks on me and my family, including my 9 and 13 year old and my wife. One man called my 9 year old the c word when Reggie gave him his game gloves. They are terrible people

What a piece of human garbage

I’ve always found that fan base to be a joke and overrated

Ah, yes. The one game during the Super Bowl season of ours where coach stuck with a "ground and pound" attack. Pierre Thomas also had a great game that day, statistically, IIRC.

Y'all were quite brave going into another team's stadium and being Who Dats, overall. I couldn't ever do it!

Here is where passion and obnoxious cross paths. If you have ever been to Buffalo, NY, there ain't a whole lot to do so this group of fans are passionate about their Bills and Sabers. They put a ton of energy into these franchises. Now, for the most part, they are a good group however, the obnoxious kicks in when alcohol turns that passion into blue ribbon a**hole-ness. There is ZERO excuse for this and the Bills Mafia should not only find out who did this but ban said fan for life.

I would have to believe that the Buffalo Bills and/or Josh Allen will make it right by inviting this girl and her family to another game, a practice, something. First, it's the right thing to do and secondly, it is great PR for the team and the fanbase. It is a shame that it comes to this. Buffalo is getting that "Eagles fans" and "Browns fans" reputation.

I did it in 2017 in Lambeau. Packers fans were generally friendly and knowledgeable. The worst I heard directed at me was "Go Packers!" (which is perfectly fine).

I'm going to MetLife for Saints/Giants on Sunday, too.

As for kids, I wouldn't take my nieces/nephews to a road game, but I have taken my nephew to home Saints games in the 21st century even when he was pretty young and it was a great experience for him just as it was a great experience for me when my grandparents took me to the season opener in 1983 when I was 5 (a guy got too excited after a touchdown and spilled beer on my granny, but she took it in good humor).

Ah, excellent. So you were there for one of George Rogers' long runs as a Saint and a win in general :)

My first game was a game against Tampa the following season. Hokie scored the winning touchdown. Dad and I heard it on the radio in the truck, as we'd walked back to "beat the traffic," as all dads say at some point. Indeed, we'd lost faith and hope in Bum, as the old bumper stickers of the time used to say.

But to sum up the topic of taking young children to games.....home games yes, road games no.

Yep, Rogers set the franchise single-game rushing record that still stands today. We also beat the traffic that day but the Saints had a 28-10 lead at one point (game ended 28-17).
