blue chip talent in the 2025 draft? (7 Viewers)

offensive or defensive? All through the draft or only in top 10?

These are all through the draft of people I really like

offensive :

Jeanty
Warren
Skattebo
Mason Taylor
(Maybe) Jaxson Dart
Jayden Higgins
Luke Lachey
Anthony Belton
Gray Zabel
Jake Majors

defense :
Abdul Carter
Mason Graham
Jahdae Barron
Kenneth Grant
Carson Schwesinger
Deone Walker
Smael Mondon Jr.
Howard Cross III
Jack Kiser
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Yahya Black

As for top 10, the only people worth picking IMO are Jeanty, Warren, Carter and Graham. I don't think anyone else in this draft warrants a top 10 pick, but of course there has to be 6 others selected if their talent doesn't warrant it.

Considering there are only 12 prospects rumored to be graded with first round talent, its easy to see how only 4 or 5 will be graded with top 10 talent.
But the surprising part is over 60 is rumored to be graded with 2nd round talent. This means the highest value in draft will come with whoever has the most picks 40-70'ish.

For anyone asking about Travis Hunter, I'm ignoring him completely for now. I still feel everyone is grading him based on two positions and I don't think he can play both in the NFL. If he does play both, every defender will look to lay him out when he's on offense. And if he's on defense, I would expect massive chop blocks and everything dirty coming his way. Reason is simple, taking out 1 player forces two backups. Its the reason players stopped playing both offense and defense long ago. Even if we pretend its a perfect world and no one would do that, players struggle to stay healthy playing 1 position. Someone playing two all game every game? He won't see a full season in the NFL.

That's the list. Jeanty is the only one we might have a chance at.
No Tet McMillan? I like him for the Saints but I don't know where he'd fall in other years draft classes. Is he behind Harrison, Nabers and Odunze? Brian Thomas? I wish there was a way to see a ranking compared to past years. For instance, we know Ward will be the first QB taken but would he be the 5-6 last year? That would be interesting to read an article like that.

I like Tetairoa, but I don't consider him a "blue chip" talent. He's a very good prospect, but I'd imagine he'd be viewed as the 4th/5th best WR last year. Jeanty, Carter, and Hunter are likely the top prospect at their positions in most drafts or 2nd best at worst. Hunter is a bit harder to compare given his pretty much unheard of versatility to play 2 positions at such a high level.

My list may be controversial

On offense:
Jeanty
Omarion Hampton
Tyler Warren

On defense:
Abdul Carter
Travis Hunter (I think he is more valued as a CB)
Kenneth Grant (depending on the team selecting him)
Jahdae Barron (he will be a difference maker at nickel CB)

If you can stomach the website, Walterfootball.com has position group rankings and how they would slot in to the previous class and the ideal prospect. It's only one guy's (Charlie Campbell) opinion but gives you a feel.
