He won't be anywhere near as good as Brees, so Payton will only see moderate success and that will be hard for him to take. I will kinda enjoy watching him twist in the wind of mediocrity and scrutiny.

Payton has found his lump of clay to mold. Russel Wilson was already set in his ways, play and diva i.e. separate locker, trainers, etc. Payton can teach Nix his ways of playing the game. Hope they succeed.

Now with that said, Payton is going to want to railroad the Saints in October. He respects Parcells and the Cowboys but damn if he didn't bulldoze them on national TV when he was with the Saints.

Yeah, despite his willingness to sign every former Saints coach and player, SP has been definitively averse to bringing in any of his former Saints QBs.
