The Saints finally can PC after another dismal performance by the offense but the defense scores 2 TD’s to win the game with a shutout!

Figuring that Ryan Nielsen knows all our playcalls and hand signals, Sneaky Pete’s first instinct is to change things up for this game, but in a meta version of Sean Payton’s patented “double reverse jet sweep for -2 yards” he decides not to, figuring the Falcons will be EXPECTING us to do just that. DA approves of this, since it’s in keeping with the team’s “keep doing what you’re doing motto” he finally had laminated and put up in the locker room over the bye week. As a result the Falcons defense seems to snuff out every play the Saints attempt, stopping us dead in our tracks except the Taysom package, which is unstoppable. PC naturally decides to keep those plays in reserve “just in case” and Taysom doesn’t get another touch the rest of the game.

Meanwhile the defense has focused on starting strong and stopping the run during the bye, so of course they get gashed for 220 yards on the ground in the first half alone.

Both teams lose multiple possessions, Saints win 12-9 in a miserable game. The character of the team is revealed, and it was pent up frustration all along.
