Booger McFarland (1 Viewer)

He's ok. I like some of the Xs and Os stuff he does, but in other ways he's too cliched and he doesn't have a great delivery. When he said, during the 3rd quarter, that the Saints might actually compete with Philadelphia (who are 2-3) after this game, I was like..."wuttt?"
I know! Couldn't believe the garbage he was spewing out! WTH???
Witten actually has a good delivery but he's so freaking stiff, if that makes sense.

Booger called the eagles and rams the "bigger" teams and he wasn't talking size. As if the Saints weren't one fluke away from the nfccg last year.

He just kept belittling the Saints as if they were some team still trying to make a name for themselves. A legit super bowl contending team since week 1 for most.

Just flat out awful.

I think the whole MNF crew is not so bad, just a bit bland. Out of millions who would LOVE to have those jobs, you would think they could find 3 that are as good as the guys from the olden days. Don Meredith, Alex Karras, even Frank Gifford are sorely missed.

On the bright side, Zach Strief went nuts when Drew broke the record, and it was refreshing.

people seems to believe that this stuff is easy
there's individual performance to pay attention to and then there's group chemistry
Booger is used somewhere between 2nd color analyst and a sideline reporter
it's not consistent enough to get a rhythm but not sparse enough that he's just stringing together 10 second moment
there's also no rehearsal for this
it's all on the job training and it takes time

Yeah I wasn't all that impressed with them last night but you have to give them a few years and see where this goes.

I was surprised how well Witten started out given no broadcasting experience to speak of, but he's a little light on the defensive side of the ball. He knows the coverages. Beyond that he's about like every other talking head on defense. I think that's why they brought in Booger. But he's trying too hard to inject some excitement into an otherwise monotone broadcast.

I miss Tricio and Gruden. The current group is very boring.

Witten was at his best when they hijacked the game to talk about the Cowboys in depth.

The lead guy is way better than last year with Sean McDonough -sp

Booger seems more like a color analyst.
Witten is just going to the Dallas thing one too many times.
It seems like networks like to throw ex-Cowboys in the booth just to get a larger segment of the audience to listen to "Oh, what's the ex-Cowboy going to say tonight."

I'd be upset to have a floating platform blocking my view during the game. That would suck.
