Brandon Spikes tries to blind UGA RB on purpose (2 Viewers)

Unnecessary roughness, obviously a penalty, not within the rules of football

Not even close. Lavar Arrington took some heat for making a point to hit the kicker during returns. Looked awful, but completely legal.

My "Gator Nation" position is this:

Spikes was in the wrong. Georgia was also in the wrong.

Who denies that?
Your argument is essentially "its okay because he did it too!!!!!!" Look, nobody doubts that a lot of dirty stuff goes on in football. Spikes got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Too bad for him.

Oh my god, that picture is terrible, that RB is putting his hands on the UF players helmet! OMG! Is he ok? Did he suffer any sort of injury?
Hey, hey, hey. If that guy was a QB who knows what kind of horrors a hand across the helmet could cause him!!!!!!

Urban Meyer disagrees with you, Mr. Watt:

Florida coach Urban Meyer believes Southeastern Conference officials missed a late hit on Tim Tebow in Saturday's game against Georgia.Meyer said Wednesday the crew calling the game should have flagged Bulldogs linebacker Nick Williams for knocking his quarterback to the ground well after he had gotten rid of the football.

Meyer sent video of the play to Rogers Redding, the league's coordinator of officials. Meyer declined to reveal what the SEC told him, saying he didn't "want to step out of line."

...
Meyer told reporters on the weekly SEC conference call the play was directly in front of the referee and should have been penalized. Tebow handed off to running back Jeff Demps, took a few steps to his right and wasn't looking when Williams came unblocked off the right edge and slammed into his chest.
"That should have been a penalty, in my opinion," Meyer said. "Obviously, it should have been. You've got to protect quarterbacks. That's the whole purpose. It's right in front of the referee. I'm not sure how they're going to handle that, but ... that was one of the plays we did send in."

Well, obviously Meyer will be suspended by Slive

He took criticism of the officials public. Clearly against the rules per Slive last week

The article addresses that issue, but I cut out most of that blabber to focus on the obvious late hit that was adamantly denied here.

I would expect him to disagree with me. We are after all on opposite sides...
