Brees helping bring a sliders chain to NOLA... (1 Viewer)

I don't get the appeal of little burgers and sandwiches...I'll take the full version thank you very much.
The appeal is that there is no maximum for how many sliders you should eat in a sitting.

For a burger, society dictates you eat only one. If you want to be a glutton, you just pile more onto that one burger.

For sliders, you can eat a dozen and no one will bat an eye.

Too many burger joints in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. But good luck. I m good with the sliders at Walkon’s, Desi’s and Cheesecake Factory. All very worthy sliders, though Desi’s is my favorite.
Walkons sliders are great

We should hang. I like how you think.

Never eaten at a Sliders. I am assuming it is the same as Krystal and White Castle?

There’s a location away from campus as well that does ok with lunch crowd.

Im not a big fan of them. The burgers and fries are placed in styrofoam containers that basically act like sweat boxes. So by the time you get then home, the burger buns are damp and the fries are soggy. The same issue as Canes chicken fingers and fries.
The secret to getting Canes in the drive thru is to unfold and put a single napkin on top of your food in the styrofoam box. It will absorb the excess moisture and leave your food nice and crisp

Totally agree…great method.

But think about the absurdity of what you have described to do just to make the food you just purchased palatable by the time you get home.

You’d think the proprietor would want you to NOT have to do something like that. 😆

On the other hand, between their containers and my napkin the meal is not only still crisp, but still hot when I get it home

We have a Canes in both Monroe and west monroe for quite a few years. I have yet to understand how they still exist. I have been 7-8 times and usually they chicken tasted like saw dust and the sauce is terrible. If the offered a honey mustard sauce I might go back mainly for the lemonade which I like but until then no thank you.
