I rarely look at news from any sources other than here to I honestly have no idea something is going on if it isn't posted here.

That seems short-sighted and perhaps even limiting, if I may be so bold.

If you wouldn’t mind, why would you say I and my fellow travelers don’t have the insights you do?
Are we completely delusional?
Do we have somewhat of a point, but we blow it all out of proportion?
Do we have a point but it’s game of thrones and we’re just sore losers?

Even if I give you the benefit of the doubt and assume these inquiries are stemming from genuine curiosity....I think we both know there is only so much sidestepping and tiptoeing with our dialogue that can occur without the discussion (a) derailing the thread and/or (b) violating non-political topic protocol.

You may be so bold. But honestly I have no control over pretty much so anything reported in the news and the vast majority of it is slanted from on side or the other. I've tried for years to find a neutral source and never have really found one.

I do however, pick up the big stories from Twitter most days and that's really more than enough for me to know it's all forked up and I can't control any of it. And, frankly, little to none of it affects my daily life or the life of my family. Most of it is just political and tragedy porn. I mostly keep track of local issues but beyond that not much point.
