Bronco's WR Jerry Jeudy carted off at practice: (1 Viewer)

The chemistry that Kirkwood has built with Carr with his pre-practice, 6 AM workouts with Carr has paid off. He'll contribute this year.

If the team decides he's finally at a point, going into his sixth NFL season, to step up and be a contributor, I'll be pulling for him. Seems like a great teammate.

But if the team likes Perry and Davis, I don't think it's worth losing either of them for a guy who has 19 receptions over five NFL seasons (most of those coming in his rookie season) and who turns 29 in December. But sure, if Kirkwood is far enough ahead of either or both of them, he will have earned it, just not certain that's the best outcome.

I think we go six WR.

The Big 3
Kirkwood
Perry
Davis

TQS goes on some kind of IR distinction.

I think we keep both rookies to start the season and maybe try to sneak Shaq onto the practice squad later in the season. Perhaps when a roster spot is needed when Kamara and or Maye come off of suspension. Or perhaps even if Trequan goes on IR after cut-down day.

Yeah, I do think it was telling they had Kirkwood in on Carr's first possession (and he caught a TD, too).

I think TQS has reached the end of his road as a Saint. If he were healthy, he'd have a shot to stay. But I think he is what he is at this point. That + his current injury struggles point to a guy who's not worth keeping around at the risk of losing two promising rookies.
