I use YNAB (You Need A Budget). I use the old offline version, which I don't think you can get anymore, but they have a new subscription model that's also good. There's a bit of a learning curve, and you need to understand their philosophy of budgeting to fully grasp the methods. They have great tutorials available, though.

It works really well.

I use quicken and it's been great for 20 years for me. I actually got a free trial version wand have used it since 1997

currently getting familiar with GNUCash. It looks like it has all I need. I tried mint for awhile but I didn't like all the notifications they gave me and did not bother to learn how to turn them off.


I often end up using LifeHacker as a jumping off point for these decisions...
