I was a pro at COD4. I knew every spot on every map, every perk and every well you get the idea.

I am still confused with this one. There's just so much going on. If you play for a while though, you'll get the hang of it. I think the key is learning the maps really well.

Scobe, I'm the same as you. I was an ace at COD4, but this one's a little different. I didn't do to bad last night.......my kills and deaths were around a 1:1 ratio. I'll be ok when I learn the maps.

As Of Last Night, 2.35 Million People Had Tried Modern Warfare 2 On Xbox Live

The numbers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are going to be monstrous when the tallies come in over the next few weeks. A sampling of Xbox 360 gamers who'd picked up Modern Warfare 2 on launch day last night suggests Activision and Infinity Ward's shooter is going to shatter records. As I shut down the game around 3:00 a.m. PST last night, I scrolled to the bottom of the Xbox Live global leaderboards. After nearly 30 minutes of scrolling down (there's no "see the bottom of the list" option and the list scrolls at a mind-numbing pace), the magic number appeared:

2.35 million.

There are apparently tens of thousands of players who have picked up Modern Warfare 2, popped into multiplayer for only a handful of seconds to a few minutes and racked up zero points in the process, but Infinity Ward's tracking data logged them anyway. The amount of players who have signed onto Xbox Live, if only to briefly check out multiplayer, was 2.35 million. That doesn't even take into account the many players (like me) who most likely are still engrossed in the single-player campaign.

This is just a isolated sampling taken on the first day of Modern Warfare 2's emergence onto the market, not to mention just one platform among three that Modern Warfare 2 is being sold on.

yes. its one of the best gaming expirences ever. All the COD games multiplayer have been great.

don't get discouraged if for the first couple of matches/hours you get your *** handed to you. Everyone sucks at first. Once you pick up the pace of the action and work with the other players on your team, it will be blast. Just don't let the learning curve get you down.

thanks for the advice. i've only played the "conflict" series on ps2 and I know that is childs play compared to these games.

play the single player through all the way before you get into multiplayer....it will help you get used to the controls

Besides, the story is pretty good, but I am NOT looking forward to maxing the difficulty and going through it.

And if you play drunk, be prepared to suck. I can play some games drunk, GTA IV and such, but not this one. Too hard.
