Can we make a run? (merged) (2 Viewers)

They haven’t given up, they’ve tasted winning again, have played hard, and are about to get a break. Hopefully they get better.
If the Broncos beat the Falcons, the picture looks like this at the end of today:

ATL: 6-5
TB: 4-6
NO: 4-7
CAR: 3-7

Didn’t realize that both the Bucs and Panthers are on their BYEs.

Remaining schedule
Bye Week
LA Rams
@ NY Giants
Washington DC
@Packers
Raiders
@ Tampa

The season could really be decided in Tampa.

Lastly...

We lost a lead to Philly, ATL, and Carolina on the last possession of the game.

We might of fired Dennis one week too late.

This is still a team with some big holes and Rizzi needs way more time than two weeks to truly turn it around. The defensive coaching staff needs some serious work. The depth on offense and defense needs some serious work. This team sorely lacks a true starting TE and a #1 WR. This team sorely lacks an elite Edge and Interior defensive line presence. Just watching the Lions highlights shows this team is not even close to a team like that. Not even close.

I love Rizzi and I think so far he's got the inside track to being the Head Coach. But this team in its current state? I'm glad they didn't trade for Adams. I'm glad they instead got MVS on a vet minimum deal. I'm glad they traded Lattimore for more picks. I think a half decent draft next year and they'll be a legitimate playoff contender and runaway with the NFC South.

But this season, this late? As @Taker597 alluded to, more than likely the Saints were one or two games too late to firing Allen to have realistically saved the season.

Yup, some of the best head coaches aren’t great X’s and O’s guys, but they are great motivators. That’s what makes Dan Campbell so good in Detroit, guys will run through a brick wall for him because they know he would do the same for them.

The only problem with that type of coach is you will have to keep good X’s and O’s coordinators with him, but definitely doable like Baltimore has done with Harbaugh
That would be my thought also, but Campbell is a good X's and O's guy he actually called plays on offense when he fired his OC his first year in Detroit, he (to your point) picked a good coaching staff and had the balls to promote then TE Coach Ben Johnson to OC 2 seasons ago and they have been on a tear ever since

That schedule looks hard as hell to me, especially Commandos, Rams, and Packers.

Or is this just fools gold playing inferior teams? If nothing else, it feels good to see the team having fun and playing well again.
The Failclowns are leading the division and are a legit team with a winning record. Imo, that was a quality win. Clev was a 1.5 point fav, so technically we beat those odds too.

Rizzi is getting what he can out of the team. Maximizing Hills and Kamaras abilities. It's really all you can ask for.

we’re barely beating a horrible Browns team so probably not. We’ve lost both our starting CB’s (Latt traded and Adebo out) plus all our WR’s (rocking some street FA’s) plus probably lost McCoy again for a while. Just don’t see it happening.
