Carr wanted to be traded prior to restructure per NOF and CBSsports

He didn't say he was talking about Nick Underhill. Underhill never said Carr still wants to be traded and doesn't want to be with the Saints. Underhill is not the person that keeps pushing the speculative story that Carr still wants to be traded.

So why did you jump to the conclusion that he was referring to Nick Underhill?
Not Widge, so I’m not speaking for him…for me tho the post Stinkers made:

“Or... Carr and his people are completely ignoring the words of another idiot beat reporter trying to drum up clicks on his page.

He had some other dbag with the Raiders (Josh Dubow) who would literally troll Carr in every tweet, and show up to press conferences trying to talk to him like nothing happened.

Another idiot beat reporter and other dbag both read like he’s calling Nick those things too. Just my opinion on how it reads.

We do know for sure that he asked to be traded. Carr's agent is probably the one that leaked the story.
We do not know that at all. We were told that by people that said they have sources. That is not knowledge. That is unverified rumor at this point.

I would expect that both the Saints and Carr had a trade as a possible option in the very beginning of the process. I would expect they discussed it during talks. That is very different from "Carr asked to be traded."

I would expect both Carr and the Saints to facilitate a trade if Carr was "asking to be traded." That didn't happen and that's why I find the speculative story that, "Carr wanted and still wants to be traded," as not credible at all. That's just my opinion.

Saints aren’t going 0-17.
Let’s not pretend the team wasn’t an injured mess when Rattler stepped on the field. He was playing with a ton of backup players.
Rattler with a healthy offense surrounding him can win 5-6 games while the Saints look for the QB of the future.
There’s no evidence to support your theory. But there is evidence to support mine.

It's just another example of complete denial in the face of reality. It's clear that Stinkers was calling Underhill an "idiot beat reporter" jut like the guy he was talking about with the Raiders. And it's clear that Carr asked to be traded at some point.

The levels of gaslighting in this thread is beyond belief at this point. A complete refusal to admit to reality.

Underhill is not the one that keeps pushing the rumor that "Carr still wants to be traded," so it makes no sense to think he's referring to Underhill.

When I read it, I was thinking of a couple of other internet content creators. Undherhill did not come to mind for me.

He wouldn't have to post anything on social media. His agent would just let it leak to a reporter that the reports are false and Carr has no desire to leave. That's how these things are done.

And it's not Moscona. It's Underhill who would not put his reputation on the line repeating this story many times unless he had very solid sources to back up the story.

I know you and others don't want this story to be true, but it is bordering on ridiculous to continue to deny it at this point.

It doesn't mean he still wants out or that he won't be the starting QB this year. But it's clear that at some point prior to the restructure, he requested at trade.
There is no proof that DC requested trade , none. Now he may have been open to the idea , but every time a player requests a trade even if it's just a contract ploy there is no doubt about it not just rumor, conjecture and speculation. There would be no benefit for DC's agent to leak a rebuttal to the RUMOR , he's not a politician accused of having an affair

I like Nick , I do think some of his best contacts are no longer in the building because he has not been as on as he has in the past.
And don't think the Nick is immune to seeking clicks, especially that he's on his own. And the rest of them are just re-reporting the rumor

Stinkers was talking about the rumors that Carr still wants to be traded.

Underhill has not been saying that Carr still wants to be traded.

It's logic, not denial, to think he wasn't referring to Underhill.

Gaslighting is not happening, because no one is trying to make anyone question their sanity. What you mistakenly claim is gaslighting is just disagreement. There is a refusal to admit to reality, but it's not being done by who you think it's being done by.

And like I said, if Carr didn't want out, he would have crushed this story just like he made it clear that he wasn't going to take a pay cut without even being asked.
He was being interviewed when the no pay cut comment came out. Not having to dispel a rumor. Again being OPEN to a trade is NOT the same as asking to be traded

Please show me the story where DC's camp asked to be traded.

You can go find Underhill's story for yourself. It's on his website and I'm sure you have already read it.

I have no idea why people refuse to accept that Carr asked to be traded while at the same time talking about how poorly he has been treated by the fanbase.

Why does it even matter to you whether he asked to be traded or not?

Could not agree more. It’s very odd.

I could not disagree more (about the way it reads).
All good tho, to each their own.

He was being interviewed but Katt did not ask him a question about his contract or anything close to it. He volunteered the information with no prompting and with clear purpose to send a message to the team.

There is no story that he was open to a trade. The story is that he asked to be traded. I don't understand how you can believe that he was just open to be traded, which hasn't been reported by anyone, but refuse to believe that he asked to be traded which has been an uncontroverted story for months.

This is really pointless. There are three people who continue to refuse to believe this story for some strange reason. You guys can believe what you want if you choose to refuse to accept reality. I'm just not going to argue about it anymore.

I don't even understand why any of you care if he asked for a trade. It's almost certainly not going to happen this year and he will likely just be released next year because he will refuse to waive his no trade clause. Even if they draft a young QB this year, Carr is likely to be the starter this year. So I have no idea why you guys are so invested in the idea that Carr didn't ask for a trade. It makes complete sense for him to do it since his HC got fired, he only has two years left on his contract, the Saints aren't going to extend his contract, the Saints asked him to take a pay cut, and he isn't liked by what is likely a small but very vocal part of the fan base. Why would he want to stay under those circumstances?
