The New Orleans Saints picked up quarterback Chase Daniel, who was released by the Washington Redskins in the final cuts.

We talk to him about how he thought he has played in the exhibition games and what he thinks about being with the Saints​

I think that this is awesome!! I watched him play a little bit in one of the Skins' games, and he looked better than Brennan by far. I've got nothing but good words for this pickup. I'm just praying that Harrington doesn't leak like a bad faucet to the tram that picks him up, and give away some of our offensive info

I think that it is just you. He seemed humble, anxious to learn and yet confident in his own abilities. I think that QB's need to be confident to a certain degree. I wouldn't follow the lead of push over QB.

He seems excruciatingly humble to me. He didn't get drafted so he feels like he needs to make a hard sale and he is uncomfortable with that posture. Everything he said is absolutely true. He did outperform Colt Brennan, so he has a right to feel perplexed about getting sent to the practice squad. When he said "it beats sitting at home" he's admitting that was a real possibility. I think he is going to work his *** off to keep the job.

I liked Chase Daniels in college. This is a good move for us and a good move for him. For a young quaterback, learning from Brees and Payton is a good thing.
