I did not realize that Chase Daniel had a YouTube channel where he breaks down film. Here is his analysis of the Saints offense against the Jags:

I agree but then again you'd think they'd be caught up by week 8 though. I don't know what it is. I think it's gotta be a combination of system issues (situational playcalls), players not fit for the system, and I'm starting to think bad attitudes and a lack of buy-in from the players. It shouldn't take this long to get on the same page but I'm still holding out hope that that's the main problem. So, wht is it? It seems like them only playing 1 or 2 series in the preseason has a lot to do with the issues. that and the oline issues....
Lance Moore and Chase Daniel are local and national network analysts. They’ve remained associated with the team on social media. Is it just me or are some of the most random people coming out of the woodwork to comment on the Saints offense?
Lance Moore, Scott Shanle, Chase Daniel ......everybody wants a hand in helping to get this thing ironed out.

That sounds like that can be an issue with the time of the route design too. By time receivers get to the top of the route, zone coverage shuts down their window for the ball because of how long the route develops.Nick said it yesterday on the show….. not saying it’s route but a lot of our players are not trying because they know when they get to the top of the route Carr is already checking it down. Nobody wants to run full speed all game when they know they aren’t getting the ball. No I’m not saying it’s acceptable but you have to understand the human element there.
The cover 2 thing is concerning because we have multiple guys who can threaten the seams. So it's concerning to not see that adjustment.Good stuff by Chase... Saw a lot of what he saw from my end zone terrace seat... It's not all Car, though he has missed some things... It's not all the WRs/RBs missing assignments or not giving effort, though they have.... It's not all horrid play calls by Pete, though he's had his share... and this week the Line was good enough, though not great.... I still think what I thought before... no accountability by the coaching staff, no consistency by the players, and the play calls in critical situations (RZ and 3rd down) are counter intuitive to what the teams' strengths are. All of which makes for a ~.500 offensive team.
I'd still like to see a different play caller soon... Many of these plays are predictable... I read today that JAX defenders said they were playing a ton of Cover 2 because they knew the Saints would checkdown, checkdown, checkdown in that situation. I want the calls to be centered around the player (matchup) and not the play itself... Simplify - Heavy run - Heavy motion - 3 reads tops with all of them being to matchup our best players with advantages... and much more misdirection to create space.
I think there might be a little too much freelancing at the line of scrimmage from Carr. Sometimes he seems obsessed with getting into an "alert" throw based on what he thinks is going to happen. He's pressing. So, wht is it? It seems like them only playing 1 or 2 series in the preseason has a lot to do with the issues. that and the oline issues....
Daniels showed several ways that yhe play could hv ben desgned better to help Carr, and the line. The cover 2 thing is concerning because we have multiple guys who can threaten the seams. So it's concerning to not see that adjustment.
I think it's a mixture of everyone, but most of the blame still goes to the coaches IMHO. The way this entire team is falling a part is something to behold
