The internet was originally intended to give people access to information they wouldn't normally have access to. People can do basic research without going to a library, thanks to the internet.

But we also get stuff like this, thanks to the internet.

People thought that a lot of people were ignorant because they lacked access to knowledge or information. Turns out, that's not the problem.

We had something of a blackout challenge when we were young. Something to the affect of squating down and holding your breath as long as you could then you would often pass out when you stood up. Maybe not as dangerous unless you hit your head but nonetheless dumb.

Yeah, you lean forward and hyperventilate, then lean back and hold your breath. Preferably during class. Good clean fun. Freaked out my Latin teacher.

I did something somewhat similar but it wasn't nearly as stupid as choking yourself. You'd kneel down and take a rising shotgun and get bear hugged.
