Chris Olave’s brother Josh Olave will be on Underhill live stream during PHI-GB wildcard game (15 Viewers)

Nah, it's more damning of the small WR who gets injured every time he gets tackled. It's a big boys game and so far he's proven that he can't handle the hits.

Let's not pretend like he's just getting injured every time he gets tackled. He's taken some absolutely brutal hits in serious traffic that have led to those injuries.

That's the problem, is how we're using him. He doesn't have the body of Marques Colston, so probably shouldn't use him like we were using Colston.

Precisely what Nick is saying. We’re trying to use him like he’s a big bodied physical receiver when he’s not. We need to get one to pair with him in the draft, either Tet or Tre

This is messy from Nick, not gonna lie.
Could be but Saints coaching staff needs to realize that they have to use Olave a lot better than they have for 3 years now. Several concussions yet something’s not getting through to them on what type of skillset Olave has.

Too many violent middle of the field looks that could be more sideline outs, curls, and deep shots. Routes that takes advantage of Olave’s quickness and elite separation on the break. Instead of throwing him into brutal hits.

It's football. He's going to get hit. If he can't run every route and go across the middle, he's not a WR1. He's a WR2 or below if he has to be handled with kid gloves.

DeVonta Smith is smaller, goes across the middle and doesn't complain.

I'm not talking about his WR status on the depth chart. I'm saying we haven't been using him to his best skillset. I watch Philly, they use A.J. Brown over the middle primarily. Why? Because he's huge.

What happened last time they went to DeVonta over the middle with the game over the line versus Washington late in the season? He heard footsteps, dropped the ball, and they lost their chance at the 1 seed.

Yeah, that is true. We don't have that X on the roster. Hopefully we address that on the draft.

He needs to put on more muscle and get his RBS up to 2.72 or higher. He also needs to strengthen his neck to keep his head from whipping around.

This combined with better usage would help him and the team going forward.

Olave was unhappy that he wasn’t getting the ball the prior year. So now he gets the ball when he’s covered pretty closely and gets lit up and hurt as a result. It seems to me like he isn’t getting the separation needed to get the targets he wants without getting balls thrown in odd places that leave him exposed. If the QB threw the ball to safe spots for Olave, they’d be more likely to be intercepted. Thats why he’s not a number 1. Need a big guy that can take a hit and draw attention from Olave and probably reduce his targets.

I think his brother was chiming in on Twitter during the whole "hospital ball" conversation after the Carolina concussion.

I will say, I'm pretty sure one of his concussions this year came from a throw from Rattler during the 1st TB game. So, this better not just be a "bash Carr" situation.

Agreed. It’s a much softer league now but still dangerous fo sho. Guess he just has to be thrown out of bounds on every play.

This. I don’t blame him for being injury prone at all, but it is what it is. I actually hope he walks away before he has another couple three of these and it damages him further. His life is way more important than football, not my call tho, or anyone’s but his, he’s a grown man. I wish him well either way.

Read an article earlier about Frank Wycheck having CTE, worried Chris is heading down the same path. Pun not intended.

Even before the injury issues I never thought of him as a #1. He’s always been a good 2 imo.
