Chrissy Simms top 40 QB Ranking (Updates till completion) (3 Viewers)

poor comparison.

Sean Payton coached up Kerry Collins to take the Giants to the SB. He coached up UDFA Tony Romo to a pro-bowl level. And he coached up a pedestrian game-manager named Drew Brees into a perennial pro-bowler and sure-fire 1st ballot HOF QB.

I'm talking about people who know what needs to be done and have the skins on the wall to show for it. At the NFL level. And you want to compare Simms to those guys? that's the poor comparison.

If you find meaningful content in Simms opinions, good for you. I find him to be a sensationalist contrarian who lacks significant substance, and must garner attention through outlandish style. He's a former player who subscribes to the same broadcast style as Skip Bayless. But at least Simms played the game at the NFL level....I'll respect that. I just don't see how his opinions carry any traction, given how often they are outrageously contrarian. But airtime is limited....I'd prefer the opinions of those with some skins on the wall; not a blowhard of unrealized potential. JMO...
I’d fight Chrissy Simms!!!

My point was simply that you shouldn’t dismiss someone’s insights or opinions solely on the basis that he wasn’t an NFL superstar.

that's a fair point. i actually ENJOY an informed & insightful contrarian viewpoint that makes me think, or consider another perspective. but over time, several of these talking head analysts have proven to be neither informed nor insightful. Chris Simms is one of them.

I have a broken grandfather clock in my media room. It is right 2x a day. It's a beautiful piece to look at, but I don't rely on that clock for timeliness.

my point is simply, instead of getting righteously indignant about contrarian hot takes....just ignore them....tune them out. otherwise, you're only feeding the dragon.

When CSP says JW2 is about the 26th best QB in the NFL, I'll pay attention.

Trevor Lawrence is straight up garbage. Fields, Zach Wilson???? Jesus Christ. Hurts is a wild card, at least he can hurt you with his feet.

That's embarrassing Winston is below those dudes.

Looks like Winston fits in right around the 16-20 range. I think he's ahead of Daniel Jones as well.

What a joke, I get he’s coming off an injury but looking at the QBs around him on this list. It’s just straight disrespectful to Winston

Looking at 21-40, it’s amazing how many were the next big thing. Lots of trades, money and draft picks tied up with those 20 QBs. We got a bargain with Winston regardless where you think he falls in this list.
