Clear Picture of Sharper's Fumble (merged several times) (1 Viewer)

I was talking about this movie posted earlier

Definately proof that it is a fumble and never a TD. And most likely it is a touchback as well, but it is hard to say for certain.

You're right. Too bad for Miami that the officials didn't have that angle. But since they didn't it couldn't be overturned. We've had many a call like that ourselves. I guess it all evens out...

Move on There nothing else that can be done about that play.

I know Nothing!", "I see Nothing!" or "I hear Nothing!",

Why in the world is this thread 10 pages long? Any shots that show exactly when the ball went out of bounds? Looks like it might have before crossing the goal line anyway.

I was looking at the Phins board...man are they complaining about that ref. It's not like he was looking at a snapshot, real time is much harder to judge, which is why I always give refs the benefit. In any event, the Saints won by 12, not 6, so this really isn't an issue. Their receivers however...

lol that is pretty amazing :) minus those points we still win by 5... dolphin fans are complaining about the bad officiating... tisk tisk... we clawed back from 21 points down and still won by double digits... stop playing the what if game... They can piss and moan all they want... we won... game is over.... move on....

The only thing that upsets me is that the ball shouldn't have been "fumbled" in the first place. When Sharper started heading towards the endzone, Porter stopped running behind him to block Ted Ginn and yet, somehow, Ginn got by him and forced the "fumble." T-PO's gotta do a better job of blocking next time, or we might not be so lucky.

That is the same thing I was thinking. I was like what happen to Porter, I thought he had Ginn blocked. I still think it was a little Karma becuase they got credited for that first down catch in the frist quater that was an incomplete pass.

LOL it doesn't matter , I remember the ref tried to give the falcons that TD even though White did not have possession of the ball .

I remember their replay machine broke on a bad call by the refs in Miami . They still would had lost the game .
