The Saints, meanwhile, had college scouting director Jeff Ireland on hand to see the former Tar Heel in person. After being in the competition for Deshaun Watson, New Orleans re-signed Jameis Winston on a two-year deal. Not long after, they also added a veteran backup in Andy Dalton.

I like Sam Howell. I think him & Corral have the traits that best fit our O. Would not be mad if we drafted him at some point. Sam Howell is a better version of Dak Prescott coming into the league. He has similar athletic traits as Dak, but Howell’s a better decision maker & takes better care of the ball. Just watch Howell’s 19 & 20 season when he had an OL & skill players. Heck, i think he did pretty good this year given what he didnt have on O.

Meh, guy likes to run a lot, he's gonna get beat up in the NFL if he plays that way. He has a cannon though but I hope he doesn't run that much in the pros.
In the pros he has play extending speed... but not play making speed. Needs to learn to stay and step into the pocket more. Would be ok with our 2nd round pick, but I REALLY hope washington takes him.

If we draft a QB early this year I only want Pickett, or maybe Ridder, but no-one else before the 4th round.

This is an interesting read (mainly on Matt Corral) but gives a good idea of what these guys were asked to do in their college system & how their skills could translate to the NFL.

Another QB visit by high profile staff. We’re going QB in round 1. I’ve been saying it and most people don’t like it. Accept it now, folks! Because it’s happening.

Howell is a guy we can get in the 2nd round, or even 3rd depending on how "position runs" go this year.

And Howell has a much better chance to become a NFL starter one day than Book does IMO... Book was a complete waste of a pick on a guy the Saints probably thought "we might see something we didn't see in college" If we develop him.

I can see the Saints taking Pickett or Corral in the late 1st / Early 2nd... And Willis will probably be way over drafted in the top 10 by a QB starved team... so he's out.

No....No...No....

This draft will set the tone with Dennis Allen NO career and so far Im not liking what Im seeing.

You skip this draft for a QB and you load up on Olinemen and WRs. Which we need asap.

Im starting to mentally check out like I did with the no call.
I'll wait until after the draft before I make a decision to get that Audobon Zoo pass
