The coaches have a big advantage over us, they have seen book practice and know his strengths and weaknesses. If they don't think Book can make a competent backup, they should cut him now and grab someone in the 4th.

I think we leave the draft with a QB, I don't know if it will be with our first round pick, but nobody knows how the draft will shake out and where players will actually go compared to what Mock Drafts report.

Pickett is far, far better than Book as a prospect. It's not even close. Pickett is basically ready to start. I'm not saying he's better than Winston right now or he's a franchise QB.

What have you seen? The draft is a month away and they haven't picked anyone. Of course they have guys at every Pro-Day and they are going to be particularly interested in ever QB until they know they have their franchise QB. It only makes sense to see these guys in person, talk to them, and see what they can do. Just because Ireland was at his pro-day doesn't mean they are thinking of taking him at #18. I'm thinking maybe they are looking at him in the 3rd or at the earliest the 2nd.

Can we at least wait until they make the picks before we birch about the draft?

Jameis only missed three games in five years (injury related) playing behind some terrible O’lines. He’s a pocket passer not a RPO and I don’t think anyone has ever considered him a running QB. Why mention him in this discussion?
