NFL Conference Championship Sunday!! (4 Viewers)

Buffalo did not get some close calls, but Kansas City looked like the better team. And I thought the Bills were badly outcoached. If I saw Buffalo run Allen under center on fourth and short one more time or go for one more two-point conversion, I was going to scream.
I'm so glad Joe Brady decided to not interview again for the Saints job. He coached a terrible game. The consecutive QB sneaks were not working and the
outside was wide open for Allen.

Dave, you know as well as I do that most of the commentary around here has been about how the NFL is fixing football games. So I made a few sarcastic replies to show how wrong that thinking is. But if people want to believe that, it’s fine with me. It just gets old reading those comments on every other post when a game doesn’t go as folks had hoped. I hate the Chiefs too.

My team lost tonight because they didn’t make the plays they needed to in order to win. I wish that people could accept that without all the conspiracy comments. It really takes away from the game.
That thinking is wrong to you. Just as your thinking is wrong to many of us. All love Bill, even if we disagree. 😊

I envy the Eagles for having Howie Roseman lol.

I remember when he was demoted by the owner in favor of Chip Kelly. For him to go through that to where he consistently has the team now no matter the changes is pretty special. How many QB’s and coaches have they gone through since Andy Reid? Yet, they’ve been in the Super Bowl twice winning it once with a backup QB by beating Brady/Belicheck. And now they’re going there a third time.

Nah, the bad calls are what takes away from the game. And there have been some doozies the last couple of weeks. I'm not saying they're fixing games, but it's enough to make a lot of people wonder if the shenanigans are real.

Can we all just hold off on the NFL conspiracy narrative? It’s an imperfect system, but it’s not a deliberate attempt by the league to favor certain teams. If people can’t trust that it’s a legitimate sport, why watch what they believe to be fixed?

I accept that the mistakes have been real doozies. But that doesn’t mean the officials are following some sort of script or directive.

I don’t know whether it is or not. I’m just saying that just because a line of thinking is wrong to you, doesn’t make it wrong. I believe very much what Dave posted above.

As to your last, idk, many folks watch wrestling don’t they? NFL is filed in the same category lol. Literally. It’s all entertainment, and I hope that the game (NFL) is just guided, nuanced, and not outright rigged.
Either way I respect your right to disagree. Nothing at all wrong with that. 😊

I keep seeing this same photo as proof that Allen broke the plane. I absolutely believe that he did break the plane as well. But nowhere in that image can you see the football. They can only assume that the ball is beyond the plane because he has his left shoulder past the line to gain. That’s not how “indisputable” works. I think the Bills got robbed. But if you can’t see the ball in the video, the play will always stand as called even if it was a bad spot. 😢

Thanks.
I don’t believe that I’m watching another version of the WWE.
Because I would never do that as a form of entertainment.

I definitely don’t think it’s on that level either. I also am not a fan of wrestling. I think lots of folks are, but I digress.

I think the Bills got hosed. I also think, that it's possible that even if the right call was made and if the Bills ended up scoring that the Chiefs would have too much time on the clock and could have won the game scoring with no time. Or maybe the Bills would have fumbled or threw a pick 6. Or maybe they would have won the game. The problem is that they didn't get a chance because ONCE again, in a high-leverage moment, the Chiefs were the beneficiary of a questionable call.

Listen, no one here doubts that the Chiefs are good enough to be any team if the game is refed fairly, they are just tired of the one-sided calls going in their favor. Losing fairly stings but nothing stings as much as feeling you got cheated. Just like in our 2018 NFCCG, it was not beyond reason for the Saints to have fumbled or have a FG blocked if DPI was called when it should have been. Just make the right call and let a team have a real chance.

And before you say, well, the Bills still had a chance to win afterward, no one is disputing that. But why put them in a position unfairly and still expect them to overcome what SHOULD be impartial officiating? I would like fairness, and unbiased officiating with accountability on such high leverage situations.

As a side note, I have said before, NFL footballs should have microchips in the seams so that in calls like this, when the ball crosses the plane of the first down or endzone, when it's THIS close, it can be declared in or short BEYOND ALL doubt. You have legacies and TONS of money at stake.

The 2018 NFCCG is hands down the biggest disgrace in sports history. Bar none.
