Food Cooking with an instant pot (2 Viewers)

Covid is no excuse to make the jokes this easy for us

Forgive me. I’m on day 33 of being stuck with nothing to do and my only human interaction is the guy at the grocery store behind plexiglass or my wife of 30 years. I’m starting to go a bit crazy....

they basically make cooking much faster without sacrificing quality for the most part...and they are essentially foolproof

I guess I'd be in the market for one. I'll look up the ones already mentioned earlier in the thread. Thanks. :9:

I have the instant pot and the mealthy crisplid as well. It works pretty good on something’s but not so well on others. Like buzd said you do have to flip things to get them crisp on both sides. We just got emeril’s power air fryer 360 xl and I love it. I’ve dehydrated a lot of fruit and made beef jerky that’s better than anything you can buy in the store. My wife has cooked a rotisserie chicken in it and it was great.

I'm taking a long look at this one. Since we have a family of 6, we need a larger one. This seems to be a pretty versatile piece of equipment. My wife saw it and was drooling over it. Lol.

My sister has that one and she loves it.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna go ahead and get it. Free shipping and free returns if applicable. If it works like it's supposed to, I think I'm gonna keep and use it a ton.
We use our instant pot a lot. I love doing ribs in it and also love this unbaked ziti recipe that is great.

So, I got this last night, and I'm debating what my first dinner with this thing is gonna be. I've never used one before, so this is definitely gonna be lots of trial and error, figuring out how to best use the pot for us. After taking it out of the box, I gotta say it looks really nice, although a bit bigger than I expected, which isn't at all bad. I'm getting hungry already heh.

I have the two tier rack. Came with the pot. It's pretty nice. I'm probably gonna test it out tonight and this weekend. I'm looking forward to it.

help
my wife just said that she wants to get a dutch over but i think we'd get way more bang for buck with an instant pot
i am right, right?

give me some ammo

Two different things. You should get both.

Pretty much. Been using my new Foodi occasionally with decent results. Have a Dutch oven, but it's been a while. I really need to pull that out and put it to work.
