Corona Drinking Thread (renamed) (8 Viewers)

Gonna bump this because delicious miller lite tonight.

Had ball games all day. My 10 year old is pitching this year and doing awesome. 7 KO's in 3 innings with zero walks. Anyone who's watched 10 year old pitchers in action knows that the zero walks in 3 innings is pretty dang good. I taught him to throw from the stretch last week and his consistency went through the roof. Even pitches he misses on are really close so he gets swings at many of those. 10 year old batters also aren't very good haha

Few delicious miller lites tonight ....just 3-4 though. Wiped out tonight. Did a school field trip with my son at a park and historical living farm. This evening I helped my daughter do a spark plug swap on her truck. She needs to know that stuff and I show her as much as I can so she can work on her own vehicles at some point. She always jumps right in and is willing to learn it all. Unfortunately she has a hemi in her truck which is a pain in the arse to do plugs on. 2 per cylinder so instead of 8 plugs you get to do 16 and about 6 of them on the driver's side share the same space as the brake booster so they're tricky to get swapped. We got it done though and she learned a lot. Tomorrow I'm going to help her change her belt.

Another day of baseball. I know everyone enjoys watching their kids and loves bragging them up so it's nothing extraordinary but I do think my youngest has potential for how young he is. At 10 and his 2nd year of playing ball he sure is doing well. Team lost but he played well. He pitched 2 innings and had 4 strike outs and a line drive hit back to him so he was responsible for 5 out of 6 outs those 2 innings.

That's cool. Enjoy while you can. Time flies by in a hurry. My baby is a year out of high school. Oof.

I'm in the planning stages of retribution right now. Found out yesterday a neighbor several houses down....which is like a quarter mile here....shot our cat earlier this week. Not because he was in their trash....because he was down there meowing by their door. The rural rule of thumb is you don't shoot critters with collars on which the cat had a collar. A courtesy text or call should've been sent to let me know the cat was going down there. None of that was done so now I gotta get some payback. I already have a few things planned for him that potentially could cost him some serious money. In my younger days I'd just beat his arse but those days are past me....now I just get even.

Nothing wrong with that. I do it regularly but my breaks aren't near as long as yours. Mine are like days where yours are weeks.
I think last year I didn’t drink from March until my bday with the exception of St. patty’s. Then didn’t drink again until September (if my memory serves me right).

It’s easy for me to not drink for long stretches.

I catch myself going too hard and have to make an effort to cut back. Pre COVID I never drank by myself and never during the week. I got in that habit over COVID and now I'll drink just because I'm bored.

I would say overall I don't get as drunk as I used to though. When I was weekends only in groups I'd hammer beers....15-20 beers a night. These days I start drinking much much later and have 5-6 and it's bed time. With the kids being active I don't get to settle down until 8-9pm and have to get up early so schedule dictates I can't have those big drinks anymore. I get my buzz, raccoon the kitchen, and go to bed haha
