Corona Drinking Thread (renamed) (13 Viewers)

I catch myself going too hard and have to make an effort to cut back. Pre COVID I never drank by myself and never during the week. I got in that habit over COVID and now I'll drink just because I'm bored.
COVID was a weird time. Go back to the start of this thread… we were all getting g smashed on the regular. Lol. I never really drank alone either prior to lockdown.

Tbh, I had Covid this week and my work is still 4 days a week WFH and one day in the office. And I don't hang out with people in the flesh much anymore. So, it still feels like I'm stuck in this pandemic thing. Not sure I'll ever get back to what was normal before Covid.

Yeah I don’t ever go to an office. We don’t even have one anymore.

I was more referring to the first year or so of covid when everything was closed, jobs were lost, only so many ppl allowed in the grocery store at a time, kids doing school at home, etc.

People were just drinking any time of day to deal with it all.

Indeed, that was strange times for sure. The empty toilet paper and sanitizing cleaner aisles at the grocery store stands out for me. I've scrolled through my phone pics from that time. It's like looking into the distant past even tho it's only a couple of years ago.

I'm in the planning stages of retribution right now. Found out yesterday a neighbor several houses down....which is like a quarter mile here....shot our cat earlier this week. Not because he was in their trash....because he was down there meowing by their door. The rural rule of thumb is you don't shoot critters with collars on which the cat had a collar. A courtesy text or call should've been sent to let me know the cat was going down there. None of that was done so now I gotta get some payback. I already have a few things planned for him that potentially could cost him some serious money. In my younger days I'd just beat his arse but those days are past me....now I just get even.
Syrup on his truck and then throw bird seed on top?

Weather has finally been pretty nice, seeing 74-80 degrees. Cutting 2 acres (even with a 60" SCAG) has to be done every 4 days to keep up. Worth it though. Oddly (for me) enjoying some Vodka and seltzer with lemon tonight...not my go-to but refreshing with the nice weather...and it pairs better with a pre-roll for me. Cotton mouth galore.

That wouldn't be enough for satisfying me. My first plan of attack is his wallet. I know he put in an illegal septic for his out building. My plan is to turn him in for that first. I want to make sure I'm going defcon 1 on him before making that call.

Man The Goods is hilarious

I have a strain called wedding cake and it's awesome. Personally one of my favorites. Not the very best, but it's up there.

I was supposed to try making an Old Fashion tonight, but I sipped on the rye whiskey and decided to stick with that...
A buddy gave me a bottle of old crow to try. I actually don't mind it and it's $20 for the big bottle vs $46 for beam black label. I love a deal. I also tried old grand dad and for me that's a lot like makers mark....the after taste gets old after awhile. Old crow has a cherry after taste that sticks with me but I can tolerate it.
