Corona Drinking Thread (renamed) (19 Viewers)

Oh yeah, I forgot about the color of the bottle being important to beer. Do you know what the good color is supposed to be?
Brown is the best, apparently.

I generally like the beers/ales from the UK and Belgium (with a nod to Russian stouts)

I went to beer fest a few years ago near the dome and I hated probably 90-95 percent of the beers I tried. I accidentally left the beer card behind so I don't know which ones I tried and liked, but I do remember liking a pecan beer and the lemonade beer similar to Twisted Tea, if not that one itself.

I know Abita and Lazy Magnolia make pecan ales locally....the one by Lazy Magnolia is far better IMO

I actually tried a different beer last weekend. Wife has been trying some yuengling beers. She's not really much of a beer drinker but will have a couple here and there. Tried their flight beer and it wasn't bad. Really light though. Has comparable numbers to miller lite but a tad lighter...95 calories 4.2% and 2.6 carbs. I could drink it in a pinch but it doesn't have the delicious factor of miller lite so I won't be switching.

The label was mainly black with white writing I believe. It also may have been an ale, but I'm not sure. Bottle itself was either brown or black.

Son's baseball team won again tonight so onto semifinals Thursday. My son has been killing it on the mound....he's done really well all season but really hit his groove the last few games. He pitched too many pitches tonight to go again Thursday per league rules so unless they win Thursday he might be done pitching for the season.

He's a solid 3rd baseman when he's not pitching. Also catches some and I wish he had more time behind the plate because I really think that's his position. He had a beautiful play at 3rd tonight after he was done pitching. Hard hit grounder to him that he charged, scooped, and made a pretty throw to 1st. Not a super special play but it was just a pretty play for a 10 year old to make. On the mound he had 2 other line drives hit back to him that he made the play on but that 3rd base play was probably my favorite of the entire season.
