He had his ups and downs today, but they came in relief in a game he got zero starter reps during the week for. That was a lot of pressure he shouldered and he didn't wilt.

With Taysom Hill likely out at least another week, Simien is the guy. He should be better after a full week of practice and a game plan designed around him. Things get a lot easier for the running game next week as well, and that should open things up.

I'm not predicting Simien becomes the long-term answer, but he might surprise us.

He was a starter in Denver, and has been in the league long enough where he has seen some stuff. Unfortunately for him (like Jameis as well) he hasn’t been in an offensive system like we run here in New Orleans. If he can put it together, this would be the place to do it.

I don’t know if Siemian caught lightening in a bottle squeezing that out, but I’d like to see him with a week fully practicing.

I like me some Taysom, but I do not like the way he looks pocket passing. If they go with Taysom they need to go full run/pass QB with him.

I agree with your assessment.
He looks like a quarterback in his all-around play.
His sidearm throws were warranted for the most part.
His form on his orthodox throws is nice.
He has good awareness.
I am optimistic of Siemian.
Hill is not a starting QB.

I’d rather see Hill stay in his Weapon X roll, mainly due to the lack of other “developed” threats on offense and OLine play.

Also, Hill’s “negative play” tendencies just seem to skyrocket the more times he handles the ball, IMHO.
