Could you go on the run? (1 Viewer)

Get as much cash I can from the bank

Buy as much food as I can.

Buy wigs/sunglasses/etc. maybe even makeup to throw off appearance

Buy a greyhound ticket with cash to a southern border town, without a river so probably like New Mexico. Bring along camping/hiking stuff (tent, sleeping bag, backpack) I already have.

Not sure what i would do once in Mexico. I know a sprinkling of spanish, with my hearing loss it might be difficult to adapt

With only an hour this might be difficult

I'd also question whether it would all be worth it. If it was a "Fugitive" like situation where there was some potential way to go back to my normal life by doing something like proving my innocence, then I might do it but it if was something like I had genuinely committed the crime then I would probably just take the L

Agree. The key is not giving up tech and comfort. The key is money. If you have a certain amount of money (and assuming the hypothetical allows time and access to get it in cash) then the world is your oyster. Cross to Mexico, buy a fake passport, then go to any other country where they don’t have an extradition treaty with the United States

Anyone following the Pennsylvania manhunt story?

Escaped murderer been on the run for 7 d now
Considering I live less than 10 miles from Longwood Gardens, you can bet I'm following it. It's going to be very difficult to find this guy. The terrain is hilly with woods, and has lots of farms with outbuildings, small creeks and the like. Longwood itself is 200 acres partly wooded.

Kennett Square is the self proclaimed "Mushroom Capital of the World," but it really is. This is the weekend of the Mushroom Festival, and I guess they're going through with it.

He may be heading for Maryland or Delaware, but that's the opposite direction from his home, so it's puzzling. He's obviously breaking into houses for provisions. I hope he doesn't steal a car or kill someone else.

Maybe its best to leave food outside on the porch with a sign that says "Dear Murderer ... here is some food and provisions. Please don't kill me. Thanks"

I think it’s harder than most would believe. My first impulse would be the country but I think you would have to leave the country.
The key is figuring out what's the least you'd need to live on? Can't run to the store whenever you need something so you're going to do without a lot. I'd head to the woods myself and take only what I'd need to survive. Bow, fishing stuff, and a shelter.
