Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups (2 Viewers)

Ok since commercials are now part of streaming, can we talk about how weird they are?
Especially the very, very narrowly targeted the medical ones are?

Can someone tell me how much Hulu plus live costs?
Currently YTTV and Netflix.
Could I get rid of Netflix if I have Hulu?
Netflix and Hulu will have different movies and TV shows. probaby whats on one will not be on the other. and if they have some of the same shows, it'd be different seasons.. each pay for the streaming rights of the content on their service, not ncluding their live TV content, thats seperate.

Yeah, I wouldn't be missing anything fantastic from Netflix just wondered how Hulu and Netflix compare. As far as YTTV, I'm sure the live portion of Hulu is similar, like cable? We watch local news and sports mostly.

i had the free trial of Hulu live a few years ago, its similar Youtube TV, just a little different interface. local channels and such..

Another football season goes by and YouTubeTV gets cancelled. I don’t think I watched a single bit of it beyond the actual football games.

Next, I’ll be killing off Paramount + after Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 comes out.

This has become the norm since these networks started to merge with each other and grow larger and larger. Mega mergers never benefit the consumers. The networks control the prices. Almost like OPEC. These streaming services like youtubeTV are beholden to whatever the networks say. The networks also tend to force bundles of channels onto streaming services, which unsurprisingly raises cost. Say for example a streaming service wanted to offer ESPN to their customers. They can't just sign a deal to stream ESPN, they also have to include other 'channels' that company owns, for an increased cost, which they then have to pass to the customers.

Hold on, YTTV is in dispute with Paramount, so no Paramount channels on YTTV.....but YTTV turns around and tells it's subscribers to subscribe to Paramount+ to have access to Paramount shows?! What am I missing here?
I never thought I'd see the day where I would consider leaving YTTV, but I'm pretty much there.
