DA, PC, and Carr all had a great game (1 Viewer)

He outclassed and out coached that blitz happy goon today, so give credit where credit is due.

Today is not the day to make this point you’re trying to make.
The story still remains on the '23 Saints.

Winning is a double edge sword. We all want change but the change we want is not the change we are likely to get as long as we are "competitive".

Anyone notice how much Carr credited RC in the post game presser? Some in the game day thread said RC was calling plays. Anyone see that?

Exactly. I want Ben Johnson but Chargers have first dibs on him. How about Joe Brady who has turned Bills offense around mid season.
My goodness Joe Brady is in NO WAY ready to be a HC. . It's not him that has the Bills playing better it's Allen . Now maybe Brady gets a shout at being an OC again but HC???

They’re getting paid handsomely to keep fighting. Let’s see if this fighting is strong enough for a team that isn’t garbage like the Panthers or Giants.
Tell that to the Falcons today.

I know everyone wants changes and I’m on board with that too.

That said it was nice to see the team play good football today. They’ve had so many ugly games, even in winning efforts, it was great to watch them have a complete game and win in a dominating fashion.

So many still just don’t get it! 2 consecutive wins vs the terrible Panthers and the lowly Giants mean very very little! The only people these empty wins benefit are Dennis Allen and PC! If they return next season… it’s 99% another wasted season for the Saints!

I still have zero faith in this coaching staff and QB.

The Rams in a short week is going to be an entirely different story.

Even after 2 wins… I still fully expect this team to lose the next 3.
Some of us don't like existing in a constant state of misery. I am a fan, not a general manager.

This thread didn't make it off the first page before becoming yet another dunk on Dennis Allen thread. Optimism has nowhere to go here.

So much THIS.

A win against a beatable team doesn't change that I want DA gone. I want PC gone. I want Carr gone.

BUT...

Today was a fun game to watch. The defense was stalwart. The offense make plays and sustained drives. The playcalling was decent. And we won by a significant margin. Of course, the Giants aren't world-beaters, but the Saints did what they were supposed to do: dominate an inferior team. I like to watch the Saints play well and win, and today, I got to see that, so I enjoyed the moment.

Sure I could grouse about how this makes our draft pick worse, and gives DA more of a ground to stand on and be here longer. But I have no control over the outcome of the game or the business decisions of the Saints FO. So I'm left with a simple choice: Be happy or be miserable. I choose to be happy.

Underhill tweeted that he didn’t but it definitely feels like, at the very least, he’s having much more influence on things. Carr’s celebration with RC after the Johnson TD was noticeable also.

Almost like it’s going to take more than one good performance against a bad team for most people to be sucked in again.

Really liked how hard the receivers played. Carr was decisive but had some low and outside passes. The receivers attacked the ball and made good catches. Love seeing that.
Carr also was changing plays based on the Def he saw which I rarely have seen him do this year.
