DA, PC, and Carr all had a great game (2 Viewers)

Very good team win today. Lots of credit to go around!

That said, it's been hard to get excited about the games, so when I watch, I'm watching for effort, etc. Say what you will, read in to comments and social media posts by players all you want, this team has not quit on it's coaches or teammates. Early in the game, before it was obvious that we would dominate and win, Carr got knocked down. I immediately noticed how lineman came to his aid, helped him up, patted him on the back, etc. Zero hesitation too, they immediately came to his aid. Maybe it's what they're supposed to do (and I beleive it is), but if the team had truly quit on him and didn't like him (as many on this site believe), they wouldn't.

Also, Underhill just went live on Twitter and said some interesting things:

- Strongly hinted that Michael Thomas is leaving, that he loves New Orleans but isn’t happy with the current situation. As expected I suppose.

- Answers to questions about Lattimore were a bit strange. Went into detail on Thomas’ situation but just said he thinks it’ll be a while before we see 23 again. I saw someone mention a rumour on Twitter about problems between him and Allen and it definitely felt like Nick was holding something back, albeit I’m inferring there.

- Said he thinks the Saints would need someone great at OC if they were to stick with DA. Doesn’t think Gruden is an option.

- Continued to talk about DA like he’s in deep trouble. Said the Saints wouldn’t have a problem getting a good HC as there’s only 32 jobs and, while someone like Ben Johnson would probably pick the Chargers, he isn’t concerned about that at all. Talked about ownership willing to restructure contracts as a plus in that regard.

- Thinks QB should be on the agenda for the Saints in the 1st round if there’s someone they love there. As should tackle because Penning is a bust based on the information he’s hearing.

- Didn’t like DA’s comments to the media talking about quarterback play today. Talked more about the inconsistency of DA criticising some players and not Carr. Got the impression he’s really not a fan more generally, like most of us.

Almost like it’s going to take more than one good performance against a bad team for most people to be sucked in again.
Sucked in?

It's sports, just cheer for your favorite team, do you feel good after talking about your favorite team so negatively following a win?

Carr also was changing plays based on the Def he saw which I rarely have seen him do this year.
He was also being painfully loud and clear about his protection calls today. No excuses for the line missing the blocks when he's calling them out so loud and so much so that the announcers repeated who the Mike was.

I can cheer for my favourite team and also voice my displeasure (literally the whole point of a forum is to express opinion) at the way it’s been run the last two years by a head coach who’s proven to be out of his depth. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

Also, most of us aren’t 10 years old so one win doesn’t change opinions built up over 30 games prior to said win.

They’re getting paid handsomely to keep fighting. Let’s see if this fighting is strong enough for a team that isn’t garbage like the Panthers or Giants.

Yes they are, I'm happy for the win yesterday, the Giants hadn't been garbage leading up to this game with 3 straight wins (one was against the Packers) so I give the Saints a bit more credit in this game....but I do think someone else on the offensive staff has changed the play calling a bit which I hope continues.....

But they need to beat the Bucs and the Falcons or it means nothing.....

Schedule. Its the schedule. They beat a bad team with a 3rd string QB.

Wins:
Bryce Young.
Ryan Tannehill.
Bryce Young.
Tommy DeVito.
Mac Jones.
Tyson Bagent.
Gardner Minshew.

Losses:
CJ Stroud.
Trevor Lawrence.
Josh Dobbs.
Jordan Love.
Jared Goff.
Baker Mayfield.
Desmond Ridder.

Its easier to think about the names NOT on this list. Weve played 3 top half QB rating QBs this season, and are 0-3. Stafford is currently #16, so we are about to see how that goes. Heck, we arent even losing to the elite QBs in the league - we arent even playing them.

I can see wanting to make the playoffs. But dont be blinded by how we are even still in the conversation to make it. Barely squeezing in the playoffs with this schedule in this division shouldt be a reason to keep Allen.

Unless he WINS a playoff game, he shouldnt be back. I honestly wouldnt want him back even with a win. He isnt the right guy to lead a franchise.

If he doesnt make the playoff with this schedule and division, it should be 100% firing. If he wins the division and loses a playoff game, he SHOULD be fired, but that will give Loomis enough to keep banging his head into the wall praying that he will prove everyone wrong another season.

So many still just don’t get it! 2 consecutive wins vs the terrible Panthers and the lowly Giants mean very very little! The only people these empty wins benefit are Dennis Allen and PC! If they return next season… it’s 99% another wasted season for the Saints!

I still have zero faith in this coaching staff and QB.

The Rams in a short week is going to be an entirely different story.

Even after 2 wins… I still fully expect this team to lose the next 3.

You're such a great Saints Fan!

OK Mikey… I’ve been through the wringer with this team bro… and I know EXACTLY what this current Saints team is. Honestly, I miss the blind optimism.

Brace yourself for this Rams game kid.
