Not a bad ceiling when going into an off-season, especially an off-season in which you don’t have any true major MUST re-sign free agents.

Which means good depth and coaching are critical. I think Detroit's run this year where there defense was basically starting third string guys at the end and Sean's last year when we started multiple guys at QB are good examples. All team deal with injuries but good coaches can overcome injuries an remain competitive.

Look at it this way. We were the 10th worst team in the NFL in 2023 and 9th worst team in 2024 with one of the worst head coaches in NFL history. You really think a good head coaching staff couldn't immediately change that to the 10th or 12th best team in the NFL alone?

If you say "No", well, you might not understand something. So ask yourself this, did you support and think Dennis Allen would be a solid pick for head coach also? If you can also answer yes to that, then it's definitely a "you" problem.

What all of you ( you're not as bad as some) Negative Nancys ( And don't call yourselves realists because you're not) just gloss over and make light of is this team was DECIMATED by injuries last yr. You can pull out all the cliches like " Everybody has injuries" or " Next Man up" nonsense but there was no team hit with the amount of injuries AND to key players than we were.

The chicken little crowd also just ignores or makes light of the 1st. I'll say 4 games where in the 1st 2 we were dominant when HEALTHY. These are UNDENIABLE facts. In the 2nd 2 games, we were 1 play in each of going 4-0.

All of that we did with a bad HC . They want to call themselves realists but yet they all deny that realism. All of that proves that we have more talent on this team then they are giving us credit for.

While it's not a great deal of talent there is enough there that a good coaching staff can work with. This team if it stays relatively healthy and we have a good draft ( at least 2 good starters ) and a good coaching staff will win the division

The 9ers went from 6-10 to 10-6 and then to 13-4 with Garoppolo. Carr is better than Jimmy G

Yes. Unfortunately, the history of the team sets us up for a negative attitude, exacerbated by the recent lack of success. And now, we have to wait for a seemingly interminable few days for the Superbowl to get finished before there will be any real news on the Head Coach. If there’s no announcement on Monday, or if Moore backs out, I may hibernate.

I'm sure glad that the player's have better intestinal fortitude than the fan base

We aren’t as far away as it seems. Even injury riddled we still should’ve beaten the NFC Super Bowl team in Philly. We let Barkley break free and gave up a big play to Dallas G. Then we follow that game not allowing Atlanta to score an offensive td only to be walked off by Young Ho. In 2025, we just need to not be destroyed by injuries.

Just quit with the realistic outlook, the chicken little's won't have it.

The Lions were so good on O that they were able to overcome their injuries on D. And SP's last yr was not as bad injury wise as we had this yr
