Deonte Harris should be used like Tyreek Hill (2 Viewers)

No, not ok. Tyreek is literally a threat to take it the distance every play, in an effortless fashion. Harris hasn’t even entered the same dimension as Tyreek.
Hence being a poor man's version. This is not as difficult as you are making it.

And it’s not even close as you are making it out to be. Poor man’s version, Tyreek Lite, hobo version, bum bag holding …….nada! Tyreek is a complete freak. His skill level at that size and speed puts him in a class of his own.

Ok tough guy, how about homeless man's version? And what does that make Tommy Lee Lewis?

I still think Harris has tons of room to grow. Remember, this is only his 2nd year playing offense and he has only a total of 37 receptions thus far. I think he’s a home run threat whenever he’s got the ball in space. Just has some things to improve on as a receiver. It would be much more helpful if we had Thomas and TQS. Right now Harris is being used as a top option, and that’s not really ideal. I don’t think he’ll ever be a star receiver, but a star returner who makes some huge plays on offense on occasion.

Why can’t Harris just be Harris? There’s nothing really similar about their game. There’s been many small fast guys that have played in the NFL. There hasn’t been too many like Tyreek. Who would you call a low budget Megatron? Some guys can’t be duplicated.

I agree with this post. I also think Payton is holding Taysom back by trying to make him into a pocket passer. Open up the playbook and let's utilize Harris's speed, and when you put Taysom in roll him out and have moving pockets, like the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson.

He's not Tyreek Hill. You do realize that Tyreek Hill is a full 2" taller and over 15lbs heavier than Harris. He is also faster, quicker and more explosive.

The first sentence is correct. The 2nd is not, their speed and quickness are comparable, not far off. Also, I think Deonte is a growing into a much better NFL WR than most realize, he is a good route runner with great hands, and will only get better once CGM starts playing and opening things up for other guys. I think I'm at the point now where I hope the Saints find someone else to return punts, he is too valuable at WR to risk it.....

What part about Hill being 2" taller and 15lbs heavier is incorrect? 66"/171lbs and 68"/185lbs. Okay, 14lbs. He is faster, quicker and more explosive. He beats him in every category.

Nobody said he hasn't improved, he has done that.

I think Payton is holding Taysom back by treating him like he's a QB. He's not. He can't do roll-outs because he's scared to pull the trigger and then he doesn't know when to run because he has zero field awareness when he's taking the snap from center. And Taysom doesn't have anything remotely close to Lamar's agility and escapability. Taysom is a god-tier H-back who can occasionally make a quick throw.
