N/S Deshaun Watson tears Achilles again. (38 Viewers)

I don't think a healthy Watson would have stopped them for drafting a QB anyway and I don't think there are any QBs worth taking high in this draft anyway.
True ..but if we were looking real hard I would be a little sour about it

He's got two years under contract, and will get all of his money, but he won't play another down for them, and this actually frees them up to immediately move on without worrying about what to do with him. He won't play next year -- they'll IR him for the whole year, and keep him shelved even if he's recovered late in the season -- and then they'll make him a June 1st cut in 2026.

So who’s gonna be the billionaire who invents a minimally invasive, preemptive procedure to enhance the Achilles to prevent this kinda thing?

Somebody who's a cap wizard explain to me the implications of Cleveland trying to cut bait with him after his 100% guaranteed contract.

I mean this is going down as one of the most historically worst signings of all time, surely.

Good question. Cleveland is gonna be kicking that can down the road and maybe pass up the Saints. I believe they are about $23 million over the cap as of today.
