Dez Bryant almost ready to start reaching out to teams (1 Viewer)

I am of the belief that he has been away from the game for too long to not have lost a step.

I also see zero reason to not give him a tryout. In my mind the Saints are pretty desperate for a threat to take some of the focus off CGM. Give the dude a shot. If he’s as bad as most of us expect, the Saints have lost nothing.

I don't know why people are so against this?!

He wouldn't be coming in to be a number one, he knows where he stands at this stage in his career.

I see nothing wrong with him being brought in. Imagine a crucial 3rd down with him, Thomas, Kamara, Cook. Teams wouldn't just NOT cover him. They'd still have to respect who he is.

I say go for it!

If it's even possible Michael Thomas has gotten progressively better each season so I highly doubt that the Saints are "desperate" to bring someone in who would take any teams focus off of Thomas.

If the Saints were that in need of a receiver who would come in and make an instant impact they would have done something before the trade deadline but they didn't.

At this point in the season and at this point in his career I don't see Bryant as being the one who would strike fear into very many defensive coordinators.

This should give a lil hushmouth to those saying he's done bcuz teams aren't reaching out to him. I stated in 1 thread that he probably hadn't made himself available to teams yet

The Saints claimed they were open to bringing him back last yr. If he's really close to being confidentally healthy then there's a decent chance we give him a workout very soon

I see no reason not to bring Dez in and give him a shot. If he still has something left in the tank and can still cut it, that's good for us and bad for other teams that may have wanted him. It also gives Brees another weapon on offense and might just give D-coordinators fits.
Can you imagine Thomas, Ginn, Dez, Cook and AK in an offensive play all at one time. Pick your poison defense, because someone is definitely gonna be open.
