DNS issue.. (1 Viewer)

IP at 5:00 am. Just tried the domain and I ended up at the old site.

IP. How could the numbers work better?
ALL internet addresses are actually numbers (IP addresses). We put a domain name in front of them so they are more user friendly. I mean, who wants to remember a bunch of numbers. When you type the domain name in, the IP address is determined by asking the "nearest" DNS (Domain Name Service) server, which serves as a translator and translates the name to it's actual IP address.

The problem here appears to be with the DNS server.

I was here using the domain name very early (I was the second post), then later that day I had the browser does not find... I am here again using the domain name.

using the ip from both work and home here andrus... The few dns servers i've tried all have the same issue.. It's not that the Dns record is wrong.. the dns record just DOESN'T EXIST for www.saintsreport.com or saintsreport.com

very bizzare

I was having trouble getting into the threads because my son and I both use the same IP.

I had to delete my cookies, to get in and contact SR.

Thanks for fixing my problem...

PS

I log on by domain name, just takes 3or4 tries sometimes.

I was able to get in through the IP and then save it to bookmarks. Two different bookmarks when I looked.

730am and it is working for me via using the site name instead of the IP addy. Bellsouth ISP.

It wasn't working at work yesterday, now it's working via the domain name at work.

Thanks for everything.
