I used to be able to do that at our last house, so easy.My Christmas tree is easy. I pick it up fully lit and with ornaments, and carry it to the spare bedroom where it fits nicely into the closet. Taking down the trains takes a bit longer. Nowhere near as much fun as the alcohol-fueled setting up, but it's a New Years Day ritual.

My Mom used to do an Easter tree after Mardis Gras. She taught me how to empty out eggs , dry and decorate them.Just swap the Xmas ornaments out for Mardi Gras themed stuff and you have an excuse to leave the tree up for a little longer..
