Yes, but we usually wait a few weeks into the new year before messing around with taking down everything inside and out.

Does anyone else dread UNdecorating when Christmas season ends? Here is my work thus far today...

My Christmas tree is easy. I pick it up fully lit and with ornaments, and carry it to the spare bedroom where it fits nicely into the closet. Taking down the trains takes a bit longer. Nowhere near as much fun as the alcohol-fueled setting up, but it's a New Years Day ritual.

edit: Oh and that step up into your other room looks like a face-plant waiting to happen

I used to be able to do that at our last house, so easy.
New house apparently has more narrow doors, last year my husband kinda crammed it through the doorway, the ornaments took a hit but all in all still worth it.

Just swap the Xmas ornaments out for Mardi Gras themed stuff and you have an excuse to leave the tree up for a little longer..

My Mom used to do an Easter tree after Mardis Gras. She taught me how to empty out eggs , dry and decorate them.
